How in the hell else would any reasonable person read the statement "straight up beat everyone" other than to mean you know, you beat EVERYONE?

it would be an opinion and irrelevant to what actually unfolded
completely wrong. according to the system, lsu was objectively one of the top 2 teams.

of course, auburn's situation is special. played several games with an ineligible player in 2010 and caught lightning in a bottle twice in 2013 so it's not like they had an lsu/bama type season where they just straight up beat everyone.

This may be the most special statement I've ever read on this board.

Right. And for the first 150 years of CFB, there was no tie-breaking procedure. As I stated, LSU was undefeated in regulation.

Bitch.

your list, uga, auburn, fsu, osu, oregon is all over the map. you didn't pick a consistent time frame. you didn't pick consistent criteria such as winning percentage. you basically just picked a few out of hat and subjectively said something nice about them. needless to say, none of those programs fit all time frames. you have to be selective to get any one of them into the same place as lsu which supports my point. lsu is the only program that is anywhere near bama all things considered.

i've already addressed this oversimplification yet, you continue repeating it. why?

nobody else has EVER done that.
continuing to equate rare with luck. why?

randy, come on. make a case that doesn't involve "i know you are but what am i."

Yes after the entire weekend unfolded. However, can you find a single article that stated that LSU still deserved to play for the BCS on the day after the Arkansas loss?

The fact is that LSU started that December day #5. LSU needed #1 Missouri and #3 West Virginia to lose and for the voters to jump LSU over an idle UGA.

Really? Did you really just say that?

I guess winning the lotto is not lucky, it is just rare.

Look it's really simple, when you lose to two mediocre football teams in the same season an incredible number of things out of your control have to happen for you to be awarded the chance to play for a national title. Such an extraordinary number of things that it's never happened before or since.

For all those things, out of LSU's control, to happen to their benefit is pretty much the definition of luck.

You people are retarded. Luck?? OK. Lose two games in 3 overtimes thats BAD LUCK. Once again, SEC champs, 07!!!

Why did you say "if" three times? I never said the word if.

By the way, Auburn was the undefeated SEC champions in 2004. Do you consider them National Champions also?

Were you around in 2004? That was a better season than any coach coaching in the SEC right now has ever had.

Slow down, big fella.
