First, some of those guys on defense need to get their weight up. 218 pound middle linebackers will get ran over. Second, some of you barners sound like cubs fans. It's less than a week from the season and all y'all can say is "next year we are gonna be awesome." weak sauce

Thanks for the aubsession.

Actually it was an Arkansas fan that said that, a few barners simply agreed.

Auburn Football 2013:

The GOOD news is almost everybody is coming back.

The BAD news is almost everybody is coming back.

Good to see Reed with the 1's...I know Auburn fans have been wanting to the kid light it uip since he committed....hope he can stay healthy this year.

The LB's are super light...if any teams OL get to the second level those LB' stand no chance.

The youth of the OL should be a concern but you gotta play them at some point. I thought Westerman would have been a starter tho.

Having 2 freshman at OT scares me as well but they are both extremely talented and Grimes is a good OL coach.

Like the skill positions on offense
QB is dependent on if Fraizer is ready. He was horrible looking last year.
OL is very, very young. That could mean trouble the 1st half of the year. Greg Robinson at LT? I'm guessing Grimes has worked wonders on him

Love the DL
LB is decent, why isn't Frost starting?
DBs look kind of weak

Overall, I don't see why some Aubies are so optimistic. Will need perfect performances and some mistakes from the best teams on the schedule to win or hang close. 8-4 with 9-3 the absolute best case.

I've got a feeling we won't have to worry about that too often

Westerman's problem is all mental. I'd expect him to take a spot or share of a spot here before too long.

Our DL is scary good. And next season with the guys we have committed it will be even better. Also there are a lot of high profile recruit names in the WR two deep. It's time for them to step up and do something

I think our D will be more improved if our DL stays healthy. If they play at a high level that will protect a relatively weak LB core. I have no idea what to expect from the secondary. I really really like Davis and Whitehead. Also Smith is pretty darn physical but I am not sure about White. I am glad to see though that we had some real competition this offseason spots were earned.

And I don't think our OL is gonna be as garbage as some people seem to think. Sullen and Slade both started last season. Dismukes will be back and Robinson and Young are absolute freaks physically. I don't expect to have the top line in the SEC but I don't expect the worst. Will be interesting to see if Kozan, Westerman, or Miller push into the lineup as the season goes on

Thank god. As soon as he is gone AU's defense will get much better. He is very athletic, but he seems to constantly launch himself into the wrong place.

I wish we had gone ahead and done this some last season. It's time we start playing all these highly recruited kids.

Also the LBs will be the weak spot again this season but hopefully that will not be the case starting 2013 with Foster and Toney
