NC State released him. I have heard that Auburn and South Carolina are real possibilities. If he comes to Auburn, I don't think he will win the job. He won't have very long to learn the offense. Remember, Cam came in January and Wilson is nowhere near the freak athlete Cam is. I imagine Wilson will go somewhere that he can be confident he will win the starting job.

eta: He won't have to sit out a year since he was released.

huge get but he wont be leading you to back to back ncs and i wouldn't worry that much about wilson.

He could be the difference though between a potential 6-6 season and a 8-4 season

I think he would. I just have no confidence in our current QBs personally

id agree with that which the difference bt 6-6 and 8-4 is pretty big for momentum and stuff.
he isn't enough to beat LSU,bama and arky but he would help you with the rest.

i could even see 9-3 with him.

I thought Wilson was intent on pursuing baseball.

He's been pretty bad so far. I believe he is hitting around 0.160 in single-A ball.

He is, that's why Tom O'Brien "cut" him.

He didn't want to hinge his season on Wilson succeeding at baseball, so he said even if Wilson came back, he would be the backup...

Why not? He seems like a good fit, since we just need a serviceable QB until Frazier is ready. And I think he's better than Trotter and Moseley

I'm not a fan of just bringing in a QB after spring and having him end up the starter and only be here for a year. I'd rather Trotter (Who is not as bad as everyone thinks) or Moseley (Who could actually win and has the ability to be a badass). He'd be alright, but I'd rather get someone that we're going to stay with at QB for more than one season.

I would be cool with it if he came to AU. I can imagine Trotter and Moseley being pissed off another 1 year QB came in to take their job

I agree. So we should start Frazier, because I think he'll start in 2012 regardless of who starts this year.

This, and it's not really fair to Trotter and Moseley to have them go through spring ball thinking they're competing for the job, then bring in another one-and-done guy to give it to after the fact.
