frick it, I say we do it. Easier path to the SECCG every year. And while were at it we need to add GT and Clemson to our nonconference schedule every year to preserve those rivalries, since this is about rivalries and all.

Also we should do it to help the season ticket sales for UGA, UF, and UT. Just imagine how many more season tickets they will sell by adding us to their schedule. They should be sucking our sacks for the windfall of money we could bring them from increased season ticket sales.

Sorry to kill the party, but Missouri has worked hard setting up new recruiting grounds in Georgia and Florida and curtailed in Texas - and they're finally reaping some rewards.

Can't just go bouncing schools around on a whim.

Soo, if you go that route you'd essentially just have to move UT to the west. So what's the benefit of that? The big 2 rivalries would still be preserved and you'd still have a 3/3 split...which is exactly how it already is.

I don't think it'll happen for 2 other reasons (which are the same):
1. The SEC WILL NOT split a state into 2 seperate divisions (TN/Vandy, Aub./Ala., Miss./MSU).
2. With #1, should the SEC do that, then those in-state rivalry games WILL BE KEPT as perm. cross-division rivalry games.

UT is very happy in the East, they play TSIO,UF and UGA. UF also supported Mizzou to the East. You can keep making up benefits for all the programs, but there is a reason Mizzou is in East. That is what the member schools wanted. Do you really think UK and Vandy want to drop Mizzou and add AU?

What would the vote look like:

For the move:
AU-reasons alread stated
UF-less traveling for fans and renewal of rivalry
Tex A&M- needs a geographical rival, both would be new to the SEC.
UGA- would not matter, since they already play AU.
Ark-great for recruiting the Mizzu area and closer for fans to travel.
Missouri- Better fit for rivalry games against A&M, LSU and Ark.
Miss and MSU- open up the recruiting base to the West.

Against the Move:
Bama-beneficial for AU
KY/Vandy-lose a close opponent
LSU-loss of a rival game.

On the Fence:
SC- less traveling and same cultural ideology.
TN-less traveling for fans and renewal of rivalry.

We're a full member, jag-off.

You brought in Yankee Slive to run the show, you might as well surrender to your Northern overlords (again).

A&M does not need nor does it want Mizzou as a rival. If we did Mizzou would be our permanent cross division game instead of South Carolina.

The SEC was not going to allow that because they wanted those fans to taste what the SEC was like. Now that they have been established in the league, it is time to rethink the alignment.

Sure you are. Ask LSU what happens when you go against Auburn or Alabama's wants.

Agreed. Mizzou has pwned Aggie arse for so long now their bungs auto-open in the presence of Black & Gold.

Might as well try your luck with another school.

AU to the East ?

Why can't we just add another conference game? Then people can stop crying about waiting too long in between cross divisional games.

Really? You don't know why?

Can you imagine the uproar when Alabama gets 5 home games and LSU only gets 4?

More about the uproar from your logic there.

They would NEVER do that unless Alabama moves to the East. 1 year the East will have 5 H games, the next year the West has 5 H games.

Just how exactly would it INCREASE UGA ticket sales?

Why would UGA be FOR it? If anything, we'ld be on the fence (if had to make a decision).
