I see what the LSU fans were pointing to now. UK has a fine baseball team this year and only has 2600 show up. Alabama is 16-24 this year and still managed to get 3300 at the game.

Yeah, that was pretty damn pathetic on their parts. It's a damn shame that it was even played up there if they are going to do that shitty.
The Kentucky fans will say,"oh well it isn't basketball", which is pathetic. Even here, at LSU, basketball is a distant third to most. If we were #2 playing #1 people would've been going nuts. I can see into Alex Box from my balcony and people would've been hitting me up non-stop to let them in so they could've watched the game from the top of my apartments parking garage.

MSU swept our opponent and OM holds the series 2-0 over Arkansas. We are doing just fine

Agreed, but i was talking bigger picture in baseball. Unless I can not read, the Tigers still lead the baseball standings in the west.

I heard they were trying some promotion with free white/blue/black T-shirts for fans who showed up to X/Y/Z number of home games this year, so at least they're trying.

Their baseball success this year has probably been overshadowed a lot by their basketball NC.

Our stadium only holds around 3k.

It fell on a pretty shitty weekend as well. It's competing with Keeneland, the opening of the Derby Festival (Thunder Over Louisville averages about half a mil this weekend), and the UK Football Spring Game as well.

I think it might take a classic Louisville vs. Kentucky regional or super regional contest before baseball catches on with more fans in Lexington.

The numbers used by the NCAA are the paid attendance figures. LSU is one of the few places that lists both paid and actual attendance. Ole Miss and most others use only the paid attendance. They never list the actual number of people at the game.

Keeneland was running today, which is a HUGE deal. Plus Thunder Over Louisville is today/tonight as well.

shite happens.

There were over 3,500 there yesterday. Just too many things going on today. Tomorrow should be back around 3,500.

It happens.

Just out of curiosity, how many regionals and supers has UK hosted in its baseball history?
