I wish Kentucky would make this happen.

UK hosted in its baseball history?

2006

Less people at the Cliff, the better spot for me to park my ride next to the Deck and more room for me to roam around and be my bad arse self.

So, IDGAF about this weak arse attendance talk...more people at the park, the more they are in my way...Frick em

still two games to go but here are the updated standings
East
Kentucky 12-5
Florida 10-6 (still to play today)
South Carolina 10-7
Georgia 7-9 (still to play today)
Tennessee 7-11 (series over)
Vanderbilt 6-11

West
LSU 12-5
Ole Miss 9-8
Arkansas 8-9
Mississippi State 8-10 (series over)
Auburn 7-10
Alabama 6-11

so the tigers are 3.5 games up on Arkansas and Ole Miss. winner of the game in progress will be 3 games behind loser 4 games
Mississippi 4.5 games behind
Auburn 5 games behind
Alabama 6 games

Georgia and Florida play tonight

Someone said earlier this week that this would be a sort of separation weekend, and it seems to be heading that way. If Florida takes the series from Georgia, and USC Sweeps Aubie, then the East Race is officially down to three teams. The West is pretty much over, but if Ole Miss wins again tommorow and LSU loses the series to UK then Ole Miss still has a slugger's chance.

It's supposed to be happening. But so is the new Rupp and supposedly upgrades to Commonwealth, too. So who knows if/when it will actually happen. If this season keeps going like it is, it will be sooner rather than later.

not really that surprising is it?

When LSU, Arkie, & SCAR are all on the road, no, it's not very surprising at all.

From your link, I found an interesting stat I didn't know. LSU hosted a regional from 1990 until 2005, failing to host in 2006. 15 years straight of hosting. Fricking Smoke. Worst record since '83, 1st losing SEC record in 23 years. Also blew the streak of 17 straight tournament appearances (89-05)

And the reason SC now holds the longest active SEC streak in tournament appearances not missing one since 1999.

I am surprised Florida has that high a number because McKeathen is very small ballpark.

First, our park is not huge. We can't accommodate 5000. The weather yesterday was shitty. They said 48 degrees, but I call bullshite. There was a stiff breeze and misting rain. I was freezing. Sometimes UK sends someone out to count the people on the deck as attendance but yesterday no one from UK came out to count. Sarah did bring me my t shirt though. I, like Mike, prefer the Deck. Easy in and out and I can just drink beer and act like an idiot. I have a pass that would get me 2 tickets to any game, but I don't want to actually go inside.

UF only had 4458 paid attendance for the UGA game yesterday.

Our stadium only holds around 3k.

It fell on a pretty shitty weekend as well. It's competing with Keeneland, the opening of the Derby Festival (Thunder Over Louisville averages about half a mil this weekend), and the UK Football Spring Game as well.

Y'all are doing fine attendance wise considering the small ballpark. Still not buying your spring game being a factor, though. More people showed up for baseball than football -- understandable IMHO. Y'all feel the same way about Joker that we felt about Horn -- boycotting games can only hasten the departure.

No one said the spring game was a factor.

Yesterday was Keeneland and Thunder Over Louisville, plus the weather was shitty.
