yes, if you are to the left of Obama, which is pretty left.

i dont think you and other hippies define what is electric for everybody.

i like in Greenville SC, much cooler town than Asheville and much more modern.

My point exactly. Look at previous presidential election numbers for all counties in Georgia. Clarke is literally the only blue county outside of the Atlanta metro.

I'm referring to the similarities regarding liberal people living in Athens and Asheville.

Greenville is improving but it will never be a Asheville. G'ville to Clemson is pick up truck capital of the world. I'd take Clemson over Athens any day but they are not close to Asheville.

athens is sitill a small town, 80 bars in the downtown district doesn't sound believable.

i don' tthink Asheville is anywhere close to 80 bars downtown. or even 80 bars and restaurants combined.

Downtown bars are separated by areas in which certain types of people thrive. Clayton and Broad street is for the fraternity and sororities, while Washington and Prince are for hippies, townies and hipsters.

i agree it will nver be Asheville b/c it isn't hippie land.

it is a much better downtown than Asheville. i never heard anybody disagree with this asserton that is familiar with both.

Hint, Asheville is a destination town. Greenacres will never be. I like Greenville but dude you are outside your mind comparing it to Asheville.

athens is fine but i don't see what it has that other more urban college towns don't. i prefer Columbia to Athens, closer to the beach and interstates with plenty of restaurants/ bars around, and i think the best parts of their campuses are similar.

ashevile is only destination town for people who don't live near the mountains, and liberal hippie types. that is your mecca as a liberal. i get it. lol

asheville doesn't have a park like Falls Park, around a 30 foot drop waterfall, with a massive pedestrian bridge over it, along a tree lined street like Main Street in Greenville, with a baseball stadium right there.

5 points and the vista are perfect clelge town areas and better than downtown asheville in my view. lol the main issue with 5 points is the occasional stray bullet by a drug addict tha tmight leave you parazyed for life lol

Not close to liberal but you do realize art and culture are not exclusive to the left?

The Vista is not a perfect college town setting; it's full of franchise restaurants and cosmopolitan shops that are in every other up and coming city. Except Columbia is not up and coming. Plus, Columbia is a capital... not a college town.
