Fayetteville would be my choice for favorite SEC town if it weren't for Athens. Good vibes that way.

Clemson is basically Auburn with a lake?

thanks for clearing that up!

the downtown areas are probably the most similar, when looking at SEC schools only, and how they are adjacent to the signature building on campus with some grassy areas and some trees.

i think the stadiums probalby lok the most similar as well.

outside of that a lot different vibe, clemson has a lot more trees and this are big trees, big oaks.

but clemson doesn't have a mcdonalds adjacent to campus, it out out a highway with other fast food places.

Small trees?

Most of the campus doesn't allow a person to "drive through". Sorry, can't help you with google street view.

Bear in mind, if the trees look "small" near Old Main, it's probably because the towers of Old Main are about 7 stories tall.

We're a tree-covered city.

Here's some small ones for you.

Outside of Athens, I have been to these SEC campuses:

Bama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Florida
Vandy
Tennessee
South Carolina

I have also been to Clemson

Bama & Ole Miss are awesome

I loved Vandy, because Nashville. Tennesee has a beautiful campus & Knoxville is a great town.

I did not like Auburn when I was in college (87 - 92) - but it is DRAMATICALLY better now (my son was in a choral group in grade school & he got to perform at AU - also did some work in Opelika, Tallassee & Auburn in the last 5 years - Auburn is really nice now.

I REALLY want to check out Kentucky & LSU

after that Arky & MS State

i don't have a problem with Fville and it is probably the closet to Clemson overall in vibe.

the area that i googled , close to the stadium, seemed like there weren't many trees, grassy hills with a few small ones. obviously every campus has some areas with more trees than others.

def. a lot less gays and hippies and rednecks.

clemson is basically the college of the Charleston elite, the beautiful people if you will, with a few rascals from the opposite side of the tracks like yours truly.

wow

clemson has a cleaner look, resort vibe, fville is pretty gritty. probably is more like an asheville

i took a virtual tour of arkanasa campus recently on youvisit.com and outside of the main building i thought it had pretty ugly architecture and there are de. less trees and the ones on campus are small compared to clemson.

nothing wrong with a man loving another man but if we go by percentages , most students are interested in dating opposite sex and having a high number of gays as Arkansas, Fayeville no doubt do is not really a major selling point.

i don't see what the big deal is with Ole Miss.

the downtown square has a lot of old dumpy buildings, a lot of asphalt with few trees.

the campus isn't that appealing, and the pretentious white column greek looking buildings with the red roofs simlar to Red Roof Inn gives it a micky mouse look.

the downtown also isn't that close to campus. there also seems to be a lot less retaurants there for a town so hyped up.

i may have it last or close to last for my colleges in SEC and south.

i feel bad saying this b/c an Ole Miss person on here said he would put Clemson in same category with UVA, UNC, Boulder, Austin, other overhyped colelge towns. lol

Speaking of gender, not many gals buying that orange on orange fashion. But keep believing. No one has ever mentioned Clemson and women in the same sentence, except in this context.
