The Big Ten didn't want Missouri and will not want them in the future. The SEC can have them.

Sounds similar to comments from our jilted ex GF's in the B12.

I've read on Mizzou boards that the Big X came after them in their most recent expansion raid. Delaney and Co. wanted Maryland and Mizzou. Mizzou said "frick you," so the jilted Big X settled for Rutgers.

Sounds unlikely.

Its true.

Whether you choose to believe it is up to you obviously but the calls were made and the interest was very real.

I think there was interest but I don't think it went down like that. I think Rutgers would accept a bitch-arse "work your way in" deal while the SEC was full payouts day one. You don't jump twice for a pay downgrade so Mizzou said no to the terms.

No, of course not. These are academics and presidents of highly regarded institutions.

Missouri was contacted by the B1G during their last round of expansion. I'm not exactly sure of the verbiage that was used but from my understanding the University of Missouri said "No" to multiple proposals for membership from the B1G agents.
