It's not rhetoric at all in my opinion. I truly do not see Mizzou hiring a known scumbag. I'd have the same opinion regardless of the conference in which Mizzou competes.

I do not see it happening.

Good for you I guess, sticking to your guns. I do hope it works out for y'all. Bare minimum I hope you can build a BBall rivalry with Kentucky that makes your ex pissed until you find your way in football.

For us we realized one day that our core values and traditions (mostly centered around playong Texas) were holding back the university.

Oh and before I forget, thanks for the real conversation in the other thread. You are maybe the most sane ranter and I am certainly not. I appreciate the exchange and I really think yall could clean the B1G's clock.

Thanks again.

Dear Mizzou,

Your application and appeal to join the Big Ten has been denied. We don't want you either. We can't go into details on why but your Tigerish ways do not align with the B1G fundamentals and midwestern ideals. Please enjoy your stay in the SEC. May God bless your football program to be respectable in the East, make a final four in basketball, and wrestling program continue to remain respectable.

Sincerely Yours,

Former Bigot/Anti-Catholic President E. Gordon Gee

All sarcasm aside, who knows if Missouri would be a good fit. With Delany pulling teams from all across the country, it doesn't matter. Join and we'll cut you a 23.1 million dollar check. Any way, what exactly is Missouri good in?

Bare minimum is winning some wrestling titles if the SEC gets credit for them and winning softball because I know the SEC gets credit for that. Hosting something as a SEC school is always a good thing and beating IU would go a long way this season in football.

I've talked to plenty of SEC fans in real life since the move has been announced and never once has anyone mentioned anything about Mizzou and the Big Ten.

If there's people saying it, they're trolling you or they're a trailer dweller sitting in their own filth complaining.

The real answer in rant context is: when it stops getting a response from Mizzou posters.

I'm not trolling. I just think Missouri is a better fit for the B1G, and if they're ever invited, I won't be surprised if they accept. There's nothing wrong with that, either.

But that may never happen and I'm happy that Missouri is in the SEC. They'll be fine and make the SEC a better conference.

The future looks different than predictions. Everyone thinks we're going to end up at 16-team super conferences. But the whole system is broken (read: unsustainable). There's a college tuition bubble out there and when it pops, we'll see all kinds of changes flow out of that.

Having said that, we are more of a Midwest school and would fit better playing Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois and Indiana. No sense in being delusional.

But, we're in the SEC - the premiere football conference in the country and football is the marquee college sport and revenue driver. So we are duty-bound to compete and grow and build. Here's to us taking some baby steps forward this year.

I would not be surprised if MU was forced out in the next few years. Yall can say 100 year decision all you want but if we boot your arse for poor performance your wishes may fall short of reality

Just like your wishes for your teams to be competitive (or even relevant)

You must have missed Porker Face's great alt outing in which he was trolling with a alt handle repping kansas.

Hence the beaker/jayhawk comment.

An Arkansas Razorbacks fan and a Mizzou Tigers fan were driving along when all of a sudden the Arkansas fan slams on the brakes.

There was a sheep with her head stuck in the fence and the Arkansas fan said "We Razorbacks never pass up an opportunity like this!" And he gets out and has his way with the sheep.

Then he says to the Mizzou fan, "Your turn"...

And the Tiger fan bends over and sticks his head in the fence.
