Oh didn't know that. Highway 71 may be the best bet for a scenic drive although I-49 is pretty too

71 was in rough shape the last time I took it, it too has had a land slide in the past 5 years or so.
That route has dried up, you can still see what was popular stays of motels on the side of the road, use to be all kinds businesses lining the road to NWA, not anymore.

What about the best scenic route into town?
You'll love the route heading west from I-40 Little Rock to the I-49 exit(Alma). Very nice.
Look for the Big Razorback "Go Hogs Go" sign on the side of the mountain.

Last I heard they shut down the pig trail. Granted that was a couple months ago. Anyone know if it's back open?

Oh you don't have to tell me how little commerce there is on 71 from Alma to Fayetteville. I'm from West Fork so I know all about that route lol

There were two different land slides on the route. The first one was the week prior to Wakarusa, the second one was mid June. I would not be surprised if it was still closed. I bet its open by football season, though.

I doubt it.
No funds for repairs.

I went to Auburn for the game in 2012. Not the best season to go for either team, but it was a good time. Me and a friend from Auburn try to go to the game every year now.
I think Justin Moore is playing a concert on campus the night before the game if you're into that sorta thing lol

Grilled cheese and beer? That sounds right up my wife's alley.. Do they have a list of cheeses to choose from?
It's really more than grilled cheese, but that's their foundation. I usually get their buffalo grilled cheese (bleu cheese and chicken in buffalo sauce and grilled up) and the crawfish bisque. It sounds weird, but they're always packed out.
Their sweet potato fries are out of this world.

Take this route:
Get on Scenic Highway 7 either from the Ouachita National Forest or from Russellville. It's rated as one of the most scenic drives in America. Follow it to Harrison. From there, you can plan your route through Eureka Springs or if you don't have the time, you can take a more direct route west into Fayetteville. There's a lot of windy road but if you aren't in a rush, it's beautiful and well worth it.
