Speaking of joking and black coaches.....

Oh, I knew you were completely joking it was mostly for the masses.

Are you speaking of a certain home grown, current head coach with many stops in the SEC?

reminds me of A&M's 2004 or 5 class. I think Martellus Bennett was the only commit of that class to actually play.

04 looks brilliant comparatively. Go take a look at Fran's 06/07 classes. They are brutally bad. It helps to appreciate what Sherman inherited when you look at it. A couple of gems and 90% never even played. Then consider the 08 class that Sherman added Gray, Brown, Fuller, Frederick, and Hunter very late in the process. Amazing really. Even if they aren't a perfect fit for his system, Sumlin walked into a goldmine comparatively.

Most Ags never gave Sherman a break because they didn't realize just how bad our talent had gotten. My guess is the same thing is going to happen to the next Arky coach.

Perfectly describes what Dooley got when he stepped into the shite-fest that was TN.

This sounds oh so familiar. Maybe Nutt and Bobby had more in common than previously thought.

This is why I'm sticking to my point. When in-state Arkansas talent is loaded we hit the BCS and #AP 5 and #10 with a great coach with a mediocre coach we lose two SEC Championships games.

That is why Arkansas needs another good coach and a recruiter for depth and we will win the SEC. It's all just math.

1. Arkansas with a great coach and good in-state talent year we go AP #5 and #10.

2. Arkansas with a average coach and good in-state talent year we lose two SEC Championships and Bowl games after.

3. Arkansas with a great coach, who can recruit out-of-state, with good in-state talent year.... ?

Reminds me of Franchione and his penchant for signing ONE offensive lineman per class.

In Tuscaloosa it was, "hold the rope."
In College Station it was, "get a rope!"

So...are you saying facilities and uniforms are not the final piece to the puzzle?

I still dislike the uniforms at least Nutt had better fashion sense.

Once you get to 80,000+ stadium and luxury football centers it's almost all the same. The rest is recruiting and player development along with good coaching which includes the assistants.

Hire a black coach, it will be the death of the final sundown towns of NWA, and get Texas recruiters on staff like we had before.

So basically copy A&M.

Who copied Kentucky which copied MSU..

You still gotta be a good coach and recruiter. TAMU has half the minority demographics as Fayetteville they are doing the right thing countering their all white military image.
