I guess going from 3 wins to 7 wins isn't improving. Huh, weird. Too bad we didn't hire Les Miles who peaked a while back.

Lol we've been to the national championship every 4 years since 2003 and we've won two of them. When's the last time Arky brought home any hardware? I'll wait. It never ceases to amaze me that fans of inferior programs will actually sit there and talk shite to someone whose team is better in every way.
And the fact that y'all use last years LSU/ole miss game as a comeback when someone says that y'all suck just shows that arkansas is still a joke. I say this with 100% sincerity, congratulations on beating a completely deflated LSU team coming off of a season ending hard fought loss vs Bama and an Ole Miss team who knew their season was over after losing Treadwell. Neither of those teams cared to be in the stadium those days and they sure as hell weren't going to get fired up to play a weak arse team like Arkansas. It doesn't change the fact that Arkansas is 2-14 in SEC play in the last 2 years and can't recruit for shite so please sit down until your crappy program has a .500 season

You guys are head and shoulders above them in every way as you state. Well there is one place they are better and it's coaching. So what if Arkansas wants to pay for future wins? His alma mater will be open after this season and Arkansas is showing their loyalty so he doesn't even consider leaving. Good move

I'm not sure if Bert is worth this amount or not. I'm also not sure that Les, Sumlin, Freeze, Chavis, Steele, Boom, Spurrier, etc are worth what they are being paid.

If he coached at a place like LSU or Bama, where he could access even greater talent, I shudder to think how nasty those teams would be.

No one has mentioned what I feel to be one of the most compelling reasons for the raise and more importantly the contract extension. RECRUITING. The contract now is extended to 5 years going forward, so this gives any recruits a pretty confident feeling that Bielema will be their coach for the time they will be in Fayetteville.
In theory, I would prefer that the buyout be on a more equal basis, but I don't see it being an issue.

Congrats on the 11th ranked recruiting class in the SEC and the two meaningless wins at the end of last season. Watching Arkansas fans suddenly grow a huge sack because y'all are 2-14 is amazing and embarrassing at the same time. They must be spreading some Nazi Germany-esque propaganda in Fayetteville because y'all are the equivalent of Mississippi State in the early 2000's right now and you act like y'all are coming off a national championship. Your team is awful in every measurable way and Bert's never done anything on the field or recruiting trail to give y'all this confidence. It's delusion at its finest

You know that doesn't change the fact that y'all only have 2 SEC wins in the last 1000 days, right? It's gonna be so funny when Arkansas goes 2-6 again this year but Bert's still the greatest coach ever and just wait till next year!!!!!! Great coaches don't go 0-8 and 2-6, have fun being sub .500 until Bielema gets fired and y'all have to accept that your savior wasn't that great after all

Congrats on the win again us, y'all historically treat LSU vs Arky like a Super Bowl and we historically come out flat. That doesn't change the fact that Bielema didn't even pull a top 10 SEC recruiting class and the fact that y'all only have 2 SEC wins in the last two years. Please explain to me why I'm the one being irrational when not a single person has thrown a statistic to counter mine. The blind optimism is annoying, y'all need to sit down and shut up until Arkansas hits .500 in SEC play

Spew that LSU rhetoric baby - you also don't care about bowl games, the refs cheat for bama, etc.
Sorry your players and coaches don't care or have the fortitude and heart to play every game- seems like a huge issue for LSU to me.
