Last years game was tied in the 4th quarter, Auburn won on a last second FG... Swing and a miss...

I forgot Au was whiffing big time last year. Should have been a beatdown like Lsu did to them to open the season.

Don't need another one. Its truth. Ar-Kansas is your best win and you had them at home.

Oklahoma in 2003 was considered the greatest college football team of all time.
Ohio St was favored in 2007.
Nice try though.

Are you sure about the OSU game? I thought LSU was a pretty decent favorite, even though they had two losses.

9-6. It's like everyone wants to forget the regular season. Bama didn't deserve to play for the NC.

So, if Bama wins, you think Lsu will only have one concensus NC team and had to share the other two? Isn't this one of the arguments many of you use to discredit Bama's claimed NC's?

This will get more exciting after Christmas holidays. Deserving or not, if 'Bama wins, LSU fans gotta come up with something better than 9-6 because they're going to get the score and 14 rammed down their throats. If LSU wins, props to them for doing what Bama already did in 09 and Auburn in 2010.

9-6 will still hurt, huh?

Scoopandscore,
Give it a rest. Teams Play each other twice in every sport out there, however you think that college football should be different. How many times do NFL teams play in the regular season then meet for the playoffs or even the superbowl. How about college and pro basketball. Happens all the time. The regular season is good for helping to get you too the game. Once your in the game, the winner is crowned the champ. This year will be no different. Yea I know you would love to play a creampuff that you could run all over. Well it did not work out that way. If LSU wants to be known as being one of the great teams of all time, all they have to do is beat Alabama. If they dont they will be known as one of the top 2 teams of 2011.

Frankly, I don't give a damn who is excited and who is not. Either LSU or Alabama walks away with crystal!

SEC vs. SEC may cause a plus one or more. Tennessee, Texas, Notre Dame, Florida, and Auburn all suck. So if their fans aren't excited - who cares?

Hey Scoop, I said "if", not when. Reading comp, can be your friend. And no, 9-6 didn't keep Bama from the BCS game, so it doesn't hurt now and would become a footnote if Bama wins.

To answer the OP, I'm extremely excited as an LSU fan about the game. Just not excited about the matchup.

I can understand that sentiment and would probably feel the same way if the roles were reversed.
