You aren't as excited because you don't have a cupcake to play. You got a big boy football team to beat...again.
9-6 blah blah
9-6 blah blah

Same as 2007?
I don't have a gauge for that and I do not really care about historical levels of excitement.
I get another chance to watch the best LSU team I've ever seen. I have had a BALL this season and hate that it is ending. My favorite team has a chance to go undefeated and win the BCS CG.
Yes, I am pretty damned happy and excited.

Oklahoma in 2003 was considered the greatest college football team of all time.
Ohio St was favored in 2007.
Nice try though.

That must be it. Especially since we were dogs in 03 and 07 and are favored this year

I don't appreciate facts when I am flaming.

I'm excited. It's likely to be the first game in half a decade that isn't decided by halftime. It's going to be a great game I think.

Totally agree and excited about all that. But for whatever reason the "big game" itself doesn't feel as big to me, not that that is really anything to complain too much about. Was just curious if anyone else felt something similar.

I am. Sure both teams been here recently, but damn man this is for the NC. How can you not be excited?
Posted on 12/12/11 at 9:14 am to ScoopAndScore
Not excited at all. We'll either see the same thing again or a 1-1 game head to head which proves nothing.

in answer to the original question.
YES! YES! YES!
YES! YES! YES!

Nope. I would have preferred LSU vs Okie St. with Bama in the Sugar Bowl vs VT.

This is what bothers me a lot. What does this rematch really prove, regardless of who wins?
If LSU wins again, well, we knew they were better.
If Bama wins this time, the series is 1-1 and LSU's overall schedule is still more impressive. So what is proven?
Stupid to match up 2 teams from same conference who have already played.

Didn't even bother to read the thread I got you so flustered. Calm down child.

Bama is excited because they bought their way in through the media and their coach begging on espn.

It's a game to decide the National Champion for 2011. It's got nothing to "prove".

at the "tie" comments a month ahead of the game.

Get over it. This isn't the first time it's happened in college ball, and it won't be the last. Not the first time it's happened to decide a championship of any sort either. Both teams will have the opportunity to earn the title, 2011 National Champions, and that's all that really matters at this point in the season.

It's done in a lot of other sports but unless Alabama wins by a large margin, it doesn't mean much, if anything, and I don't see that happening. I wouldn't like it, even if Arkansas was in it.
There are other teams out there who deserve a chance to win or lose, and I'm not sure that even that would mean much or settle the "score" either, since the entire BCS system sucks in the first place.

Kindof like Bama's road to the NCG this year. Who have you beat this year?

Last years game was tied in the 4th quarter, Auburn won on a last second FG... Swing and a miss...
