whoever the "bootleg" is that you quoted, that analysis is ludicrous. lsu is getting penalized for players that transferred away from the school? but the players that stayed graduated at a very high rate. and somehow this reflects poorly on lsu. yeah, that makes sense stanford fan. sec envy

Apparently the standards aren't any higher at Mizery than they are at ar-kansas

12. Mississippi State (970.73)
13. LSU (967.63)
14. Texas A&M (964.50)

Wut????

Over the past 5 years, Mizzou has graduated 96% of its senior football players. Of 97 seniors, 93 received their degrees. I'm proud of this from our program.

I was referring to your understanding of the disagreement we were having with the piggy earlier.

Does APR stand for grade inflation?

APR doesn't care about grades or even academics despite it's name.

You get 1 pt for the kid staying in school whether he's eligible or not and 1 pt for being eligible. So if a team member meets a 2.0 and stays in school a school gets full pts. If the same guy stays in school but his grades slip below a 2.0 the team gets 1 pt. If he leaves for the draft or is simply angry with his coach and doesn't give a crap about the semester and thus leaves academically ineligible you get 0 pts.

Interesting looking at the APR numbers. Just looking at A&M's numbers:

Baseball jumped up significantly once Childress took over. (961 average)

Football was HORRIFIC under Franchione (not surprising), averaging 933. Slightly better under Sherman, averaging 943.5, but increasing every season.

Men's basketball peaked in 2008-2009 at 986. Went to complete shite in Billy Kennedy's first year - 912. Coupled with the 933 in Turgeon's final season, if Kennedy didn't achieve a 945 or higher for last season, which is likely considering he ran off 4 players, we will be banned from postseason play in 2014-2015.

Thought Kentucky would have been lower. Guess inbreeding doesn't affect the gene pool THAT much.

Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! Bevo's football players are that dumb?

This is the school that gave us Vince "Wunderlich 6" Young. How stupid must you be to not get a 3rd string clipboard-holding job (as Tebow got and JaMarcus may get)?

You should if you're a basketball fan. Under the new standards, 99 teams would have been ineligible last season.
