You do realize this is just for athletes.....not the other 99% of the school...

Another top 10 Director's Cup finish; don't care.

Other than my lucrative degree, I've never made any claims, and even then my claims aren't focused at anyone in particular, being number one in the world creates implied superiority.

I'm glad that athletics is a small percent of the student body they don't drop down our overall academics.

One would think that players would have higher grades at easier schools.

Damnit, I should have gone in that direction first.

APR (Academic Progress Report) for the SEC

Football APR SEC: Mizzou 982, Bama 978, Vandy 973, UF & Ga 968, MSU 967, USC 966, TA&M 954,Aub 950, LSU & Miss 944, Ky 943, Ark 938, UT 924

However, LSU has graduated 80% of its football players (second only to Vanderbilt) for the last 2 years.
Actually I really don't think there's a vaginal hair of difference between #3 and #14....There'll all on the same level....
And most of the SEC schools are Tier 1 institutions, if not all.

That would explain Vandy and mizzou at the top while the academic gauntlets of lsu and Mississippi state reside at the bottom with y'all

Your athletes are functional retards. They're pretty good at football, but retarded nonetheless

Guess that's why LSU has the best Academic Center for Student Athletes in the country - featured in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, and lauded by national academic associations and institutions.
And also why 80% of our football players have graduated in the last 2 years, second behind Vanderbilt.

You missed my point entirely. Tela claimed they were at the bottom because tamu is such a tough school academically, I pointed out they were at the bottom with lsu and state...schools that aren't exactly the harvard and Yale of te southeast. Meanwhile a school known for it's tough admission standards and classes, Vandy, was towards the top

If I'm not mistaken, the rankings in the OP are the rankings of "the SEC teams in the 19 sports that Mizzou participates in".....meaning it is omitting certain sports for other schools.

The NCAA uses a 4 year running average across ALL sports a school participates in. Those rankings are below. .

Missouri 982
Alabama 978
Vanderbilt 973
Florida 968
Georgia 968
Mississippi State 967
South Carolina 966
Texas A&M 954
Auburn 950
LSU 944
Ole Miss 944
Kentucky 943
Arkansas 938
Tennessee 924

As of this year, a school must achieve a score of 900 to be eligible for post season play. However, in 2014 that number rises to 930, meaning UT needs to raise its score in the next year or they become inelgible for postseason in 2015.

I'd love to see this same report for the B1G. It would be interesting to see how the schools compare....
