I don't even understand why Ole Miss is still #3 honestly.

Numbers 3, 4, 5, & 6 are head-scratchers.
Baylor & TCU are benefiting from a ridiculously over-inflated ore-season ranking.

Only 3 teams getting significant #1 votes are OSU, MSU and Ole Miss with Utah getting one

My bad. Typed the numbers in backwards, I guess. Thanks for pointing that out, it's fixed.

I would argue against some of those teams, but of course I know you're only stating that that's what the people in charge of the poll think. I'm not convinced that some of those teams ranked above Georgia are better honestly.

We honestly should go down to number 5 after our performance last night. I'm shocked TCU is below us, since Texas Tech is a much better team than Vandy and they had to face them on their home ground. I just have to assume the voters didn't see the game and just the final score.

It really doesn't matter right now. This week matters , period. Win and UGA be in everybody's top 4. Win the next and UGA will be favored to be a 1 or 2. Just win. History is a burden, all you can do is win the next one. UGA is in striking range, and as far as I concerned , I would rather everyone wake up the First Sunday in December and realize the Dawgs just went 13-0.

I am not saying that our schedule this far has been that impressive. I just don't think UCLA has done anything so impressive as to jump us.

How many UCLA games have you watched this year?

Leaving out the worthless preseason AP template that the committee uses, even though they say they don't.

1. Utah
2. UCLA
3. Ole Miss
4. Ohio State

First four out

Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Baylor-no particular order

I don't even understand why Ole Miss is still #3 honestly. I mean no hate towards them or anything, but they barely escaped from Vandy last night. Shouldn't they drop a spot or two, or do they consider an ugly win like that a fluke? There something I'm missing?

I have to agree. Granted, these polls were pointless and Vandy always plays us like we're their Super Bowl, so I think it's a fluke, but last night was not a performance that didn't deserve at least some drop in the rankings. As I said, put us at a 2 point drop with 5.

Part of the Virginia game, almost all of the BYU game and bits and pieces of yesterday's game... Again, not saying they are a bad team, but I just think at this point we shouldn't be jumped by them. But you see how high Ole Miss jumped after bama, if we win maybe we will jump everybody, lol.

The thing that always seems like a hit or miss to me is what exactly warrants a team's drop in the poll? Of course a loss is one of the biggest factors, but I wonder how much they really factor in ugly wins, or at least wins that don't look as spectacular as your ranking. I think whenever the #1 team in the nation has ugly showings against unranked opponents, I believe they should drop until they prove they should move back.

LSU drops after barely beating Syracuse (understandable), Georgia drops after a high scoring win (?), but Ole Miss barely gets by against Vandy and they don't move at all. I just don't get it.
