Dad went to Duke, moved to Memphis, met my mom, moved to Canton for my mom, here I am a MSU graduate but lifelong Duke fan.
Been to many games in Cameron and have many Duke/UNC/NcState friends with a couple Wake and UVA fans. Trust me, Arky is an afterthought when talking basketball.

It was basic film stock of Duke playing, the other team happened to of been arky. No mention of arky whatsoever in the doc, and the film was very brief. Nice try though.

I would say I'm no less of a fan of Duke than any other fan who didn't graduate from their favorite school. At least I do have very close ties to Duke which is more than a lot of fans can say about their University.

And Arky will never, ever, ever be close to accomplishing what Duke has accomplished in just the last 15 years. That stings doesn't it.

Umm, we've not played duke too many times so I don't see how there is any ownage there- do they have a better program? Yes.
As far as msu goes, I doubt you actually own anything, it's all on layaway.

I really hate the narrative that everyone "hates" Duke and Laettner because they're just so awesome.
Plenty of programs are successful and are not hated with passion. Look at UCLA, they were dominate for over a decade and I don't recall much hate for them. It's because over the years, they've had a bunch of first class ***holes; while about all the calls; constantly work the refs and receive gifts; play cheap shot, grab *ss defense; and have dorks in stands thinking they invented cheering for basketball.

It's something to use when a person wants to buy something but can't pay for it at the time and they have shitty credit. So, basically 9 out of 10 Mississippians use it, ask any friend they'll fill you in.

Yeah I think alot of it has to do with the Priviledge perception and seeming to have the refs in their back pocket when it comes to fouls.
