Seriously, just go and bear it. Laugh and joke with the kids closest to you and try your best to ignore the others outside of punch distance. If you act right, others will follow suit for the most part, save the verbal abuse.

Now, if you're they type that is easily offended and bows up due to machismo pride...watch at home. JMO.

I'd definitely go that route. There will be AT LEAST one drunk a-hole who goes too far. Some people lose their fricking minds over fandom, unfortunately.

i sat in the LSU greek section last year for the OM game and was wearing OM stuff.. there were a few obnoxious people but for the most part they were pretty civilized (maybe cus they were losing and i wasnt acting like an arse)..
i even got a few handshakes after it was over

There were however some very rowdy OM students a few rows in front of me
and people were throwing all kinds of shite at them..
FWIW they deserved it.

Speaking from experience (2007 game), it's a living hell!!! Would've been alot worse if Florida would have won though. That said, can't wait to do it again this year.

if you choose to wear UF colors and openly root for Florida, you wont have fun during the game. That's pretty plan and simple.

So why the frick go?
Just watch it with friends/family or at a bar if your only option is the student section.
I'm guessing(and this is only after one week of CFB, so it could change easily) that UF is going to blow out LSU again anyways.

Well, you could sit in Mike the Tiger's cage also...and maybe nothing would happen either, but there's allways a chance, so why put yourself in that situation.

I did for the 2006 Alabama-LSU game. Great experience, even though Alabama came limping into that game, and the atmosphere was a little down for the contest.

If I was you, I would wear some LSU gear and join the party...it'll be an experience you'll never forget. Of coarse you'll want your gators to win, but come back another time and sit in the visitors section wearing your gator gear and you'll see a game from two different perspectives and have a great time at both.

I've been in the LSU student section many times. But, never for a Bama game. I would NEVER go to the LSU-Bama game in TS in the student section. It just wouldn't be fun. If you're losing, you're not having fun regardless. If you're winning you have two options:
1. Sit there and be happy inside, which is no fun.
2. Holler and cheer and be happy. Which could likely land you in a physical altercation with some drunk retard. Not saying that all LSU fans are drunk retards, but in the SS there will likely be at least 1 in the vicinity.

You know, you're probably right...it would be better to do what I suggested with a different team and then you could just enjoy the party regardless of the outcome.

I would say all LSU fans at the game are either drunk or retards...maybe both.

You may never get a chance to go to another CFB game period.

Did I hurt your pride?
I didn't say a bad word about LSU, FWIW.
What's your take on the game this season?
