Tennessee is just a bad football team outside of the offensive line. I get people are excited about Butch and winning a couple games, but expecting to keep this one within a few scores is delusional. Tennessee's speed on defense against the speed of Oregon's offense will be the mismatch of the millennium.

I was really surprised to see WKU spring so many runs on Tennessee. If Doughty had half a brain in that game, WKU should've made that a game.

Tennessee was even slower last year with Byron Moore as the last line of defense at free safety instead of Brian Randolph and Marsalis Teague at corner. Troy looked like Oregon Jr. against us (over 700 yards of total offense).
Randolph, Jordan Williams, and the corners are the only ones with enough speed relative to their position to even attempt to keep up Saturday. The rest of the D will look like they are running in molasses.

WKU has a great back by any standards. He's pretty much the reason they go bowling. Per his wiki: "In 2012, he led the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) with 3,161 all-purpose yards, which was the second-highest single season total in history."
He's rated 6th out of rated RBs by draft scout LINK

I know. I listened to the announcers during the game talk up Andrews. It wasn't just him though. The oline was opening up holes for him right up the gut.

Corey Miller, Maurice Couch, J. Smith(inj) and the are all high to mid 4* players that were put in one of the shittiest schemes in CFB last year, the entire DL and Defense was for that matter. It's too early to say how they'll play consistently but so far they've done a good job at putting pressure on the QB and run blocking from last year. It's to early in the season/scheme to say what the upside is right now. I'm not saying the D doesn't struggle this year, but I don't think it's going to be from the DL, especially once C. Vereen and J. Smith get back into the rotation.

It's because we have a squishy underbelly. You should tell all the coaches to think like ole Johnny Majors and just run it up the middle on every play.

Hell no. Tenn is one of the least talented SEC team on defense.( outside of a stud lb)

Thanks. We now know we can ignore anything else you ever say again pertaining to CFB.

How's Tennessee's DL? Oregon has a bounty of skill players, but I'm still not impressed with their OL. If tenn can own the line of scrimmage, they can limit Oregon to big plays. Granted, those will still happen and tenn will still lose, but it will at least keep the score more respectable.

I think any SEC team will give Pac 12 teams a fit with our speed. UT could give Oregon trouble by running the ball and mashing them. The Duckies dont impress me.
BTW I hope UT wins...we are already scheduled for a 3:30 CBS TV start when the coonhounds come to the Swamp in 2 weeks. Would love to see the orange ranked.

Also, how the hell do you have that huge run on sentence and then put a period at the end?

Rajion Neal and Marlin Lane have been solid behind the OL so far. They're gonna need a huge day though. Worley can throw some lasers on the smaller routes but his deep ball has either been under thrown or dropped so far. Dudes going to have to have the best game of his life to even keep this close, or they're just going to load the box and hulk smash that arse
Justin, if you see this. The word of the day is:

I took Tenn +28.5
Don't think they'll win but I can see them hanging within 3 scores.

And the stud LB is big and slow. He is a great run stopper, but he is a liability in pass coverage.
