If Jacob Carter can get loose in the secondary with his flowing blonde locks Tenn can do some damage

Y'all, I'm Vols to the wall, Vols till I fall, and just all around All Vol. Ask your mother if she enjoyed it when I was Vols deep in her. I'm sure she did.

And so I think my opinion here is credible, and here it is: Oregon is going to fricking destroy Tennessee. We could play Oregon 50 times and they would beat us 49. The only way we're winning against this Oregon team is a freak turnover fest, but since we already had one of those last week, I'm not counting on it happening again.

Oregon will beat us, and Oregon will beat us soundly.

to answer the original question......
Any chance Tenn hangs with Oregon?..... nah.

Love to see it happen for SEC street cred. but it won't.

Or you're Boise State.

This thread delivered in much the way I thought it would. A few SEC fans say of course since Tenn is in the SEC. A few Tenn fans think it is close into the 2nd half then a quack attack. The Oregon Duck fans, all 2-3 we have on the site still, believe the Ducks will beat everyone on the schedule by 65 points and whenever you say anything bad about their team they throw something out that no one can dispute but they can't prove

The fact is, Oregon goes in and smokes most teams. Then there are games every once in a while where it just isn't clicking and they look like a high school team. Cal, during a bad year for them, almost beat a good Oregon team. Then you have teams who are physical and skilled enough to stay with them and force a few three and outs. The Ducks seem to panic and keep making mistakes. Time will tell if they can fix those situations (cue Duck fans saying how they are great on both lines now and will never lose again)

How's Tennessee's DL? Oregon has a bounty of skill players, but I'm still not impressed with their OL. If tenn can own the line of scrimmage, they can limit Oregon to big plays. Granted, those will still happen and tenn will still lose, but it will at least keep the score more respectable.

Tenn won't be owning the LOS. They don't have the lateral speed of UVA's dline.

No. Vols' defense is not good enough to stop them like the good SEC defenses do.

Oregon 50, Tennessee 17

Tennessee has a better chance of their team plane being filled with snakes and Samuel Jackson coming to their rescue.

I would stay away from the spread. It got out of hand starting at like -21. I would wait to see if money starts going towards Tenn.

No doubt in my mind Oregon wins, but I was wondering if Ten with the points was a decent bet.

I haven't followed ten at all this season to be honest.

I wouldn't consider it strong. Oregon has a good shot of covering that. There are stronger plays, imo. Personally, I'd look at ASU -5.5.

Not sure where you're getting that from. I watched the highlights and UVA was tiny. Oregon doubled up blocks on the edge and let the RB loose all hell on them. The one up the middle play your QB ran I was wondering where the hell any UVA players were the field it was so wide open. Your team blocks the edges like badasses on a mission and UVA never stood a chance as small as they are. Sending one blocker would've been a double team for them sending more is just wicked.

I switched over to our highlights so as to compare the sizes. It look me a second to realize I was looking at my D-line not my O-line.

You'll still kill us on the edges if we're not careful and should take advantage of our young secondary.

Unless UT has suddenly gotten a defense, this will get ugly.

They'll score some points on offense, but honestly Oregon's defense isn't bad enough to keep them in it.

Oregon by at least 20.

For the record, despite being a Bama fan, I'm perfectly okay being wrong. After UF and UGA, we need someone in the SEC East to win an OOC game of relevance.

It was third and long and they weren't expecting the qb draw.

I am not exactly sure what makes you think UVA is small. I've watched all of UVAs game this year and Tennessee. Sapp and Brewer are actually lucky to be pushing 225. Your DE's in Miller and Jordan are 260ish. Likewise, Hood is undersized at 277. McCullers skews the average weight on you line and the fact that he's neither disruptive nor fast, I am not sure it matters. Besides, size on the outside will just get you killed if it's not size and speed. Ask Wisconsin. UVA's DTs were 290+ and they used a 275 strong side DE. Romero was bigger than both Sapp or Brewer at OLB. I am not sure what you are looking at.

Now if you are talking about the OL, that is a different story.
