wow. Connor Shaw is going to sneak up on a lot of people this year. His QB rating is better than Ware's #4 and #5.

tats McGee is on point. Beat LSU's greatest two teams twice in a row.

Why do people say shite like this? Playing football doesn't give you the license to spew verbal diahrea and have it called analysis. That list is an embrassment.

First off, if you're list starts any other way then Manziel you are just bitter A&M used to go balls-deep in you. I'd have em:

1. Manziel
2. McCarron
3. Shaw
4. Murray
5. Don't care, some scrub

His Statement about McCarron being just as good if he played for state is WRONG no other way to say it. He has had the best OL and running back in the conference at Bama he would not come close to that at State.

How is it wrong?

He is saying that McCarron's talent would still be there- his leadership ability, ability to make throws into small windows, reading defenses...it's just alot easier for him because he plays at Bama.

“Tone it down,” Ware said when asked about how Manziel conducted himself off the field. “You’re not the same guy you were before you won the Heisman Trophy. There’s a responsibility that comes with it to no only yourself and the Texas A&M program but for past Heisman winners as well. “We watch what Johnny Manziel is doing and you kind of scratch your head and wonder ‘What is he really thinking?’ in certain instances. Reel that thing in, get some football in and be around your teammates a little more to settle things down.”

Ware is clearly basing his ranking on off the field "issues".

I'll take JFF everyday of the week. He beat McCarron with a less talented team in McCarron's house.

Mett should not be on the list. He has the talent to be but needs to put it together first.

Ok I he would still have his leadership--would he be able to keep a team that has been beat down in the SEC west thinking positively? We don't know.

He could still read defenses--would be a lot harder when you are on your back or running for your life or when you are on the bench.

Making throws into small windows--you are going to have to show me examples. He mostly throws fades and screens when I have watched.

Lets see where he gets drafted and how he does in the NFL.

I'm one of those old curmudgeons who will never, ever get over the Hook'em thing, but I listened to Andre on texags and have no idea what he's talking about. What has Manziel done that is even remotely bad?

AJ: If I was a fan of any team other than A&M I would absolutely want him as my QB. Easy #2, in my opinion.

There's way too much bashing of Mettenberger in this thread. He looked like a world-beater against 'Bama and tossed a very pretty long TD pass against A&M just before the half that was enough to win the game. Not saying he should be top 2, but I don't see the problem with top 5.

The only one I'd take issue with is Tyler Russell over Shaw or Wallace. I only watched one of MSU's games last year but he was basically a statue waiting to get hit. Holds onto the ball way too long, and unlike my #1 guy can't compensate with his feet. When he did throw early he had some success, but that happened way too seldom for the Bulldogs.

AJ and Murray finished 1 and 2 in country in efficiency (almost identical) and JFF won the Heisman. Pretty big gap for everyone else to close, imo.

He's made a lot of throws into tight windows over the middle and on the sideline. AJ's arm is always seen as average to people who haven't even watched enough of him to know for sure. He's got a good arm, not great obviously, but good. The only flaw in his game is he can sometimes be too emotional, and on some routes does a mini wind up instead of a quick release.

Oh I'm sorry.

He's also not likely to gain many rushing yards.

What else is really a flaw? He sees the field well, makes accurate throws, has a good arm, reads a defense as well as, if not better than, anyone in college football, he's clutch, shows up in big games, doesn't throw many picks but still maintains a gun slinger mentality.

Obviously he can improve and obviously he isn't near perfect, but if a scout were to watch his current tape, they wouldn't have much to complain about.
