Bolts time measured at 40 would be around 4.1 according to the math.

That's not how that works, 100m sprinters don't run at uniform speed.

Bolt's initial 40 yards clocks about 4.35.

Yeah, I do.

Again, Bolt doesn't win the 100m at the start, he does it in the 2nd 50 meters. His starts are actually pretty average for a sprinter.

Terrible logic. Especially considering Bolt tends to fall behind at the start of most races. That means all those runners ahead of him at the 50 meter point ran sub-4.00 40's.

And yet he did.

Of course he did, Never mind he was never clocked under 4.2 any other time in his life and his track record would make him an average ncaa level sprinter.

Then you are dumber than you look. And Bolt turns it on when he needs to. Do you think he would struggle with NFL athletes that run 4.2/4.3 ....NO he would blow them out. He's the greatest sprinter of all time. You're just being dumb now.

Christian Okoye ran a 4.4 and he easily had 30 lbs on Bo.

Get out of here with your facts.

You're the one equating a 40 yard dash to the 100m. I think we all know who the dumb one in this thread is.

You just said Bo Jackson could beat Usain Bolt in a 40 yard sprint.

First, it is highly likely he is doing something illegal or that will eventually be illegal to achieve the heights he has achieved. History has taught us that in a sport like sprinting.

Second, Bo ran a 4.12.

He could and still can whup his arse, in any arena.

Makes no difference what his times were in the 40. He could bulldoze and out run anyone that choose to get in his way. So could Herschal.

Lots of sprinters have been caught cheating but their times are actually accurate and done on a world stage.

Yeah, I do. I'm sorry you're too obtuse to understand the difference between a 40 yard dash and 100m sprint.

Bo Jackson ran track. He was never timed anywhere close to suggesting he could run a sub 4.2 40. When he retested he ran a 4.22 which is much more believable.

Bolt would not run the 40 in 4.12. There are plenty of NFL players that could beat him in 40 yards. None in 100m

No, I understand that an olympic level gold medal sprinter wouldn't magically be slower than a football player at 40 yards.

Bo in his prime probably could.

This confuses me.

The answer lies here. LINK about 22 seconds in.

No, you're just too dumb to understand that someone with Bolt's length isn't going to hit full stride until 25-30 meters while someone with Bo's length does so in 10-15 meters.

it's the same reason world class 200m sprinters aren't always world class 100m sprinters and vice versa.

Bo beat out a routine grounder to second base in his first week in the majors. He could fly. I have no doubt he could run a 4.12
