New Orleans is easy access to a lot of protestant areas of the country and thus attracts people who'd like to let their hair down for a weekend without judgement. This ends up in Billy Bob pissing or shitting himself then putting his sack on an 18 year old's face. Then they run back to their redneck shitholes and complain about smell and drunks.

You forgot when they go to restaurants like River's Edge or Oceania Grill and say the food was overrated

Way to trash your host Amari. I'm sure the University of Alabama is proud (once again) - disrespecting the host city paying them millions of dollars.

There was an epic thread a few years ago with some AU/Bama retard trying to convince people NOLA food sucks. When pressed on what restaurants he visited he listed similar ones to the ones you did.

Mardi Gras parades and Bourbon street are not all New Orleans is about.

Is it just the bad sections that make it the murder capital of the South?

Went to Mardi Gras for my bachelor party. I won't be back. Smells like trash and piss. Literally. Trash and piss

I didn't expect it to smell like a county fair.

Memphis is not the focus of this thread, Gump.

Go back to your trailer in Selma.

I was in the quarter today and those places were slam packed full of 'those types.' Lots of college football-related apparel was on display.

Precisely. Teabagger, jumping whore who wanted to apologize to coach sabear, etc. They can't handle situations without the threat of their fire breathing pastor damning them to hell.

It is a third world tourist trap with very pretty and nice areas, and great food, in it. It's a great city that I would live in as a young man but never raise a family in. I'm going to be there for a bachelor party in May and I can't wait.

Yea, well that's Mardi Gras. Do you think Mardi Gras is an average day in the city? And you can thank the millions of tourists who come in trash and piss everywhere.

Great City when you know where to go and what to do.

Nothing wrong with your take. You obviously have experience there. I do take issue with the idiots who have gone once for Mardi Gras and never left the Quarter, but think they know everything.

It's a great city that I live in as a young man (and is obviously a whole hell of a lot of fun). I could see your issues with raising a family here. This is an expensive city and is outrageously inclusive, meaning that if you're not from here, you'll never be from here.

Too be clear. I would raise a family in Metairie, just not the city itself.
