ummmmmmmmmmmmm yes elliot went for 85 and for 60. He should have been tackled for a loss in the first half and went for 60 yards. I dont know if you remember the game at all or anything. Like I keep saying you won, but to act like it was some blow out of how ohio state pounded Alabama is just BS. Never understood that whole theory

Is this supposed to be a good thing?

Ohio State finished the game on a 36-14 run after being down early. Every Gump on this board was laughing it up about Ohio State being weak and already talking about how they were going to stomp Oregon. You people deserve everything that comes to you.

You are the worst poster on this site by a factor of ten. You're like a walking caricature of the stereotypical Alabama fan. The sad part is I really don't think you're an alter.

That's the sad part. I used to think he was an alter. But now I just think he's the Uncle Ruckus of Bama fans.

i mean I'm agreeing with you saying that you won the game, I'm just sick of hearing about how ohio state steam rolled alabama. It was not a steam rolling, it was a close game, that you won. And it was a lot closer of a game then you vs oregon was. Thats all I've said. Y'all got hot at the right time and won. kudos.

But this crap about it being a butt whopping that I've heard for 9 months is farfetched and ridiculous. Alabama hasn't played a game that they lost that hasn't come down to the final possession since 2010. think about that

I disagree that Alabama has turned into an "old Big Ten Defense".

They consistently have more speed and explosive athletes than what Klatt is giving them credit for.

However, and I've noticed this for a long time, the Alabama LBs are typically huge, physical players, which helps them tremendously in stopping power-running teams, like LSU. But, those big guys, even though they are typically pretty athletic for their size, can be susceptible to certain matchups (spread-type offenses, stretching the field horizontally, and individually, matchups with guys who have elite quickness). If you look at the LSU-Alabama games in recent years, LSU's big, between-the-tackle power backs have not had much success, while the faster guys who looked to get to the outside have had some success.

Take a guy like Ryan Anderson for example. He's extremely strong against the run and can take on offensive linemen with his power. We're talking about a LB that put La'el Collins on his back last year. But, he's a guy that will struggle to keep up with offensive skill guys who have elite quickness.

From what I've seen this year, Texas A&M is an interesting contrast in many ways. With Chavis, I expect A&M to be very good vs. Spread Offenses, but the Aggies look to be susceptible to the between-the-tackles running game (also running lanes opened up as a result of their DEs rushing up the field). Now, Chavis and A&M will probably improve that. LSU had some problems early last year stopping the run between the tackles with two young DTs (and some issues at times at MLB), but that improved a lot as the season went on, and A&M looks to have some talented big guys in the middle. But, Alabama will generally be much better than Texas A&M at stuffing the run, whereas A&M will probably be better at shutting down teams that spread the field.

If Texas A&M can get big-time production (disruption is production) from the DTs, they can be very good. If you look back at LSU's best D with Chavis, the DT position was key. Brockers and Logan were outstanding that year. Of course, LSU had a slew of outstanding players that year at different positions (most notably Tyrann Mathieu, and Chavis was huge in Mathieu's LSU career), but those DTs were crucial in stopping the run.

I don't think Landon Collins would agree with that.
