So in other words, Saban is angry that the students DID NOT honor the terms of a contract? Where could they have learned that from?

Not cool.

fraternities (to the best of my knowledge) are still a small percentage of the student body at A&M.

It is not as bad now as it was in past decades, but Greeks had a lot of power and influence at BAMA. Politicians in this state usually began their political careers in the machine that was the frats and the SGA's of both Auburn and Bama.

Glad to see someone standing up to the machines.

There are two points here.

1) Block seating is fricking stupid at all schools. I was in a frat, and will be the first to say there is no logical reason to give them preferential treatment. Not to mention it's just begging for fights putting them so close together. That's where the majority of frat on frat fights happen.

2) Saban is an egomaniac who needs to shut the frick up. He has the athletes by the balls, but everyone else spent their own fricking money to do whatever they want with their tickets. If I buy a car, I don't expect the dealership to call me up and tell me how drive it. This is the 2nd time das fuhrer has blasted the fans that bow to him...the first time actually blaming them for a loss.

Whoa there, pal. If he sees a problem that could, at some point, affect the team (absence = lack of crowd noise), why wouldn't he try to exert influence? You're not being rational.

If anyone is upset over what Saban said, then they need to check their priorities. Most of the time when he chews out reporters it's because they asked a retarded question.

do the frats get those blocks of tickets for free? If so, I can understand his anger that they show up late and leave early. However, if they are paying for those tickets, they should be allowed to come and go as they please without Lord Saban having any say-so.

Tickets only cost about $5 per game.

Then why suspend them at all? Seems silly.

There's 25,000 on the waiting list for tickets that would stay the entire game.

Yeah, how dare a reporter ask a stupid question. Far be it from Saban comparing a loss to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

At the end of the day, it's the coach that answers to the fan base...not the other way around. And the fact that some Bama fans are essentially saying "Thank you sir, may I have another" is pathetic. Coach the fricking team and mind your own business on what the fans who pay your salary do.

If they wanna get a jump on traffic because it's a blowout and they have something to do on Sunday, frick off and be appreciative they spent a couple hundred dollars to come in the first place.

So basically they're trying to force students to stay in shitty seats because of how bad it looks on the teebee when they're empty?

This is why auburn had to hire a high school coach.

It's also why our coach walks around AU tailgates after games, embracing the fans and taking pictures with those that pay his salary...not going and blasting them to the media.
