How convenient for Saban to make a statement for this game...

Why is this popcorn? He'd acted like a thug so he pays the price. Case closed.

Who gives a frick? He didn't have to suspend him at all...who gets suspended for a 15 yard penalty anyway?

You're right, Saban should have announced his suspension for the second half at halftime..
I agree. If you think it's an issue, bench him. If you don't (and I'm okay if you don't), then just ignore it. But suspending a week after the fact for a game that doesn't matter is fairly lame especially when you took no action when it actually happened.

It would be handled internally if it were a different team.
Come'on Rocky, you know that

In a tight game, that 15 yarder could be outcome determinative.

It would have been better if it all ended with him crying on the bench like Bray.

Is there really a point in suspending someone for one quarter in a meaningless game?

Are you kidding? He's teaching these kids a valuable lesson.

He shouldn't be punished at all. He made a play and had a mild celebration in response to JFF's douche money sign (also no big deal). This world has become far too sensitive.

He got a qt for the fumble.
Any more questions?

Saban getting tough with discipline vs Colorado State

Alabama sophomore running back T.J. Yeldon will be suspended for the first quarter of the Crimson Tide’s matchup against Colorado State on Saturday, the Anniston Star has learned.
A source close to the situation said the suspension stems from Yeldon’s unsportsmanlike penalty in the Tide’s 49-42 victory over Texas A&M on a 4-yard touchdown near the end of the second quarter.
If Alabama doesn't beat the spread because of this, I'm gonna have a whole new reason to hate Saban.
