GOAT usually stands for greatest of all time. I very much doubt fans of those other teams would say that Bama is the greatest. Just saying it isn't undisputed.

Well you can remove national titles from the equation and we still have the most postseason hardware.

Kentucky basketball. I think it's harder to win a basketball title than a football title.

You would be wrong......I have already posted a large sample size poll earlier in the thread that demonstrated that one half of the country believed Alabama to be the greatest college football program, and that poll was taken prior to the winning of their last championship .......This is all a matter of perception. The the fact of the matter is that Alabama is perceived by the general public, and the country, to be the best and greatest college football program of all-time, Kentucky is not .......it's that simple.

The SEC is a football conference. They have way more power programs in football then basketball. Kentucky is the only basketball school in the SEC. Kentucky has won a ton of SEC championships in a 2nd rate basketball conference. Bama has won a ton of SEC championships in a power football conference. The SEC in basketball, is kinda like the ACC in football. A couple power teams in a very week conference.

They are both historically great programs. It is unfair to compare the two. I do believe it is more difficult to win a title in basketball than football.

Like I stated the only thing important here is perception .....because you're really comparing apples and oranges.....Alabama is perceived to be the best and greatest....Kentucky is not...Although I personally believe they are very close.

Perceived to be the best by whom based on what.. anyone who knows college basketball knows we have the best program. Meanwhile Notre Dame and Michigan say hi. Alabama isn't perceived to be the best around here. Perception is what you've resorted to to prop yourself up now? Pathetic.

Well shite, I apologize, I thought you were going to link something factual and based in merit, not an ESPN poll filled out by a bunch of people who probably also voted for Obama. Also that shows that 63% of the country thinks someone other than Alabama is #1. You can't even get your psuedofacts right.
