I get it that it’s part of summer of George’s schtick to hedge all the time, but you don’t want to even hedge just a little?

It isn't a schtick with this team. I truly want to believe that we are really good (and part of me feels that way), but I gotta see us do it against a good team first. And Texas, with all their current flaws and recent historical flaws, counts as a good team.

Your comment about wide receiver is interesting, I was looking at an interesting stat this morning, the UTrans quarterback did not complete a pass over 12 yards the entire game versus rice, despite dozens of attempts

Cole & Mc had a guest on this morning. After the segment was over, Cole went back to state ...

'Did I just understand our conversation? There is actually talk of pulling Quenton Ewers for the Alabama game.'

Sounds like listening to Bama fanbase.

It is strange, the Texas/Alabama game last year was not just the best Ewers has looked going deep. That is the only time he seemed dialed-in throwing accurate deep passes. Every other game, including Saturday against Rice, his timing was way off. I'm starting to realize this won't get fixed. I think this is peak Ewers. I don't think teams will respect us going deep, which is a shame, because we have some great receivers for it.

Let me qualify my comments a little because we had Pete Golding at the DC helm, but Hudson Card did a good job once the Golden Boy went out. I think Ewers is going to see a different pressure level on Saturday.

Your entire OL is back but I would say they looked jittery against Rice, especially in the first half. Are they struggling with their communications? A really big question for me is whether Robinson and Johnson can just be replaced as simply as some horn fans are expecting.

But it's going to be loud and wild. And Bryant Denny will not be the 5th quarter of the Austin game last season.

That is because he is simply mediocre. And he had Rice defenders in his face because his OL couldn't pass block the undersized, smart guys very well.

I think Texas might actually get it done this year. They obviously have a big advantage at the QB position and are decent enough in the trenches as well.

194 yards passing against freaking Middle Tennessee.

Wow....yep he's a definitely a great QB alright based on that. Never change bammers.

He had 3 passing TDs and also had 2 rushing TDs in less than 2 and a half quarters. When was the last time a vile QB did that?

Hint: Not last Saturday against 3-win Virginia.

Apparently you must not have watched Hooker much last year.

Milton had a 70 yard dime of a TD pass dropped despite his wr Keyton being wide open that skewed his stats down. But mostly we just chose to play vanilla and ran it down their throats.

Then why are we having this discussion? Milton has done nothing but impress you. And YOU aren't exactly moving the needle

Because Milton has proven he can stand in the pocket against a real opponent and throw down the field to win a game. Milroe has not.

Milroe might very well end up being good but his sec co-offensive player of the week award this week means exactly zilch.

I'll go with Texas' QB until proven otherwise.

How does everyone who actually saw the BAMA game know that you didn't? Cause Jalen Milroe threw deep passes for strikes. And stood tall in the pocket.

He set a school record being the first QB to throw for 3 TDS and run for 2 TDS so yeah it meant something
