re: Alabama fans - Question about the 1973 Sugar Bowl

I was there at the game too...it was raining throughout as I remember (I was wet and shaking form the cold). They had metal bleachers in the old Tulane stadium. I assume Bear thought ND would not pass the ball in the rain and in the shadow of their own goal post?
