More enjoyable than watching kids wearing magic underwear blow out Ole Miss.

okay, then who do you think Alabama is going to "poach" from a P5? Crean?

My cousin goes to Illinois. I'm worried he may drink himself to death

That is a broad question as there are non-P5 jobs that are better than P5 jobs in basketball.
Programs like Bama are not more attractive than these jobs.

got BYU losing to Zona in the S16

Wow, and Illinois was considered in the NCAAs until the last two weeks of the season. Nice win Bama

I just think arrogance of scoffing at Alabama hiring a non P5 coach is great. I think Howland would be an excellent hire, but no one jumps out to me at a P5 school that'd leave other than Crean
I don't think anyone is hiring Michael White until he takes Tech dancing, even though what he's accomplished has been impressive

Bama's checkbook is bigger. That makes it more attractive.

Wow. Just saw this score. Good for bama

No it doesn't.
There isn't an amount of money that can make up for being a distant 2nd to football with an unrealistic and unreasonable expectation attached to the pay scale.
There is a tourney, a coach at a basketball first school like Marquette has just as much (more so historically) chance to win a natty as a program like bama.
This is why you don't see coaches jumping job wise around unless they are up and comers, moving to stay ahead of being fired, or moving to a destination job (which bama is not).

Honest question ( and I haven't looked thru this thread to see if it has already been asked). Do y'all think Bama would have played like this had Grant not been fired?

Crean would be moving to avoid being fired to go to a job to be fired (look at how he started at IU).
Why not hire Mike Dsvis if you want a coach who could not meet expectations at a basketball school with expectations instead of taking Howland off the unemployment line?
