Football to basketball at Alabama has as great a divide as it does at SCw or Penn State. We can poach in football. Roy leaving Kansas for UNC or Cal going to UK from Memphis. Never gonna happen. We have to take a shot on an unknown commodity. Pretty much everybody outside of UK and maaaaaybe Florida and Mizzou has to do this in the SEC.

Football, now, with no probation, it's no problem to take a top 5, power 5 coach.

You are wrong in your assumption . At one time BB was a big deal at Bama. When Whimp was on our end of the court. It may have been before your time but it happened.
It's up to Coach Battle to find a the next winner. And we hope he starts at the top in his search, not the bottom.

Up until this year, Bama was ranked #32 winningest basketball team, with only Kentucky ahead from the SEC. LINK

With the win yesterday, Bama became the 34th D-1 program to reach 1,600 wins in men's basketball.
