20 yards or more and not a 3 yard pass that Yeldon takes for 40 yards. There are many passes of 20 yards a game in the NFL. Depending on the team.

I can name two just in the LSU game. Do you not remember the blown coverage and Bama's receiver running free and AJ missed him by 5 yards? That was just the first series. He also had a deep in route where he threw it behind your te. That's just the first half of LSU.
Regardless of what I say , you'll never admit AJ isn't perfect. I've repeatedly said AJ is a good qb, but he needs to work on some things before he is ready for the NFL and if you asked him the same question , he would tell you the same. DWI

So, like I said, you know of two plays. That's what I thought.

Just admit you don't know what you're talking about. Sure, AJ can improve - all players can - but throwing out baseless bullshite and acting like you're more knowledgeable than everyone else on the subject is laughable. There's not much that AJ does better than throw the deep ball.

Just forget it. AJ is gods gift to qbing and ha a first round draft grade. Nothing I say is gonna change your minds. JJ was efficient too , in 09. Was he a great qb?his qb rating in 09 was higher than Matt Flynn's in 07.

No I know exactly what I'm talking about. AJ does not have a great deep ball. Sorry. If you think his deep ball is great, you clearly don't know shite. Like I said AJ's short routes are elite. His intermediate throws are above avg, and his deep ball is avg. if you can't see this, them nothing I say will matter to you.
I've already stated that his deep ball is good for college. Not the NFL. AGAIN , AJ's deep ball is good for CFB, not the NFL. I believe he will get there though , because he seems to be a hard worker.

Also, I named two times in the first half of the LSU game. Those aren't the only time he missed deep throws. You wanted two instances and I gave you two from one half of one game.

Yeah I don't think AJ has any problem throwing 20 yard passes. Junior High QBs don't have problems with 20 yard passes.

Because you remember a pass or two he missed against LSU, you said. Any others? Or do you know all this because of one game where he was hyped up and overthrew an open receiver?

20-30 yards in the air. You think NFL qbs throw the ball 50 yards in air,a lot?40 yard bomb is damn near half the field.

I haven't read this entire thread, but I don't think many objective Alabama fans think A.J. McCarron is a second coming of Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. But with the NFL becoming more-and-more of a QB friendly league, the desperation of NFL franchises to find that "next QB" has led to a serious increase in franchises "reaching" in the NFL draft. That's why a lot of people think A.J. could go fairly high when he does head to the NFL. There have been a lot less mechanically sound QBs go in the first round the last few years.

Since you think you know qbing, tell me what YOU THINK AJ should improve on? Let me guess , nothing. Like I've said, AJ DEEP BALL IS GOOD FOR CFB , not the NFL.

I also believe AJ has all the tools to be successful in the NFL. All I said was that he needs to improve on his intermediate to deep passes. His intermediate and deep passes are good for CFB. Not the NFL. That's all I said. He needed to work on those passes. Not that he wasn't good at either. I'm sure AJ would tell you the same. It's not even the throws that are incomplete. You and I know the windows in the NFL are a lot smaller and open for less amount of time.
Look AJ is a great college qb with the potential to be a good-great NFL qb, he just needs to improve on some of those throws.

So you are saying AJ will not get drafted at all by the NFL.

I like how you keep ending your posts with variations of this, as though it's some kind of fricking trump card.

As to what I think AJ can improve upon..... I didn't say he couldn't improve on his deep ball. But, he already throws it about as accurately as anyone. He could improve on reading the coverages and getting the ball out faster at times. He could also improve his touchdown dance tremendously.

No I do not. Since we've established that a "deep ball" is 20-30 yards then I don't think any NFL team should be concerned with AJ's deep ball.

If you think AJ deep ball is great , you're football dumb. Sorry. I'm done talking to you. You clearly don't know football or Atleast qbing. You just said AJ's deep ball is AS GOOD as anyone's. classic GUMP. Yeah he only needs to work on getting the ball out. I don't understand why he doesn't have a first rd grade since he only has to work on getting the ball out.

Yeah he'll probably never be as great in the pro's as JaMarcus Russell or any of the other big time LSU QBs we've seen recently, but we like him anyway.
