AJ McCarron is the second coming of Joe Montana.

There! I said it.

Who was gonna start for Bama next year? Blake Sims? Last I checked, Sims didn't have a swoop or come from a rich white family.

Sims came from a rich black family. His cousin is a millionaire.

expected. He was hit and miss this year. He had flashes where he was good (end of LSU game, the PA pass against UGA) but many times when he struggled, especially against the better teams (most of the LSU game, aTm, most of the UGA game). From a talent and experience standpoint he needed another year of CFB, however, I agree with the person who said his stock won't be higher than it is right now, mainly becasue the QB class this year is very weak. Barkley will be the top QB and he is nowhere near the QBs that came out the 2-3 years before. McCarron could've very well been the 2nd or 3rd QB taken this year in the draft. I don't think another year will allow him to be ahigher pick than that, but it will make him more ready for the NFL.

6 in one hand, half dozen in the other, unless he gets hurt playing behind a new OL. Then that's a different story.

needs to be more decisive, or just have more confidence in his throws, it seems like every other play he panics and tries to scramble, then they show the replay and he has like 2 people open

sure maybe he is injured, but i dont think that would influence him to panic and scramble at the risk of more injury

Yeah, that isn't him in a panic, it's called I've held onto this thing for a while now and no one is open on my current read, I need to buy more time. Just because someone is open doesn't mean he sees it. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, all could easily watch entire games and tell you how many times they missed throwing to an open man, and it would be often. People are so used to the "fling it around and see how many INTs I can throw" QB that they have to find flaws in a guy's game when he doesn't do that.

theres buying time and trying to keep the play alive to find an open receiver, and then theres abandoning the play all together and just trying to pick up yards running, hes been doing the latter more often

i can understand him overthrowing/missing receivers if he is in fact injured, but his decision making is not what it was earlier in the season

He hasn't been running though, he's been rolling away and waiting for something to open up. If it does he throws it, if it doesn't and he can run he runs, and if it doesn't and he can't run he throws it away.

He's just like McElroy and JPW, dude.

What impact do they have thus far in the NFL?

All 3 are fine QBs, sir.

Only one of these has actually played a snap in a NFL game...

Don't see why he wouldn't have returned. Game Managers aren't in style in the NFL right now.
