No problem guys, whether said as a joke or not, it was pretty funny. It is still alittle strange we are in the sec, and until we start conference play, probably won't be in many major topics (I know, I know, cue next joke ) James Franklin will be one of the top Qbs in the sec next year barring injuries.

Maybe we should wait and see what he does against SEC defenses. Collin Klein was a stud until he met the vaunted Razorback D. Big 12 defenses can make an average QB look like a superstar.

I find it humorous that the au bamahaters are laughing at idea that Aj could be tops in the sec next year. As a first year starter he was the 2nd highest rated, 3rd most yards, highest completion %, a bcscg mvp performance, won 13 games, only threw 5 ints. pretty darn good for his first year starting.

FTR Wilson would be my pick for pre-season top qb: after him ? Aj, Murray, Shaw, Bray all could be next or even move ahead of Wilson.

Wilson is a system QB. Petrino's qb will always have nice numbers regardless of who it is. Who was the qb before Mallet? He was horrible but had great numbers under Petrino. It's sort of like Hawaii or Houston...no matter who the qb is they will throw for gobs of yards, etc. It's called being a sytsem QB, and Wilson fits that mold to a tee. So, I'm selling Wilson as the best true QB in the SEC.

Tyler Bray...
Aaron Murray..the 5'6 turnover machine?

Yes, McCarron will be the best QB in the SEC in 2012.

NFL scouts disagree with you, but I'm sure you know more than them.

Both of you (Rocky and Robot) are 100% on the money, and I thank you for saying it so I don't have to

You really have to look at the offenses these guys are in. The NC game was different. He won't be the main source of yards in most games next year. CNS likes a balanced attack. AJ could easily be one of those gun slinging big 12/pac 12 type QB's if he was in their offense. Wilson plays for a team more like the Big 12/Pac 12. So, he's going to be more important in the hogs offense. He'll be called on to throw it more and make bigger plays. You can't even compare stats hardly because of the different strategies.

AJ impressed me in the Florida game. Right after the opening bomb/TD by the gators. The place was going nuts and he took it the length of the field in a very controlled manner and scored. That was his first SEC road win. He can take SEC pressure and that makes him special. I still want to see him take the length of the field to win the game. That would tell a little more.

Trent is about to go in the top 5 of the 1st round as a junior. Wilson is coming back for his senior year because he wasn't 1st round material...and he won't be next year either. Dumb comparison brah.

calling Wilson a system QB is dumb, brah.

And you don't know if he was 1st round material or not, nor can you say for certainty he won't be next year.

Yes I can....have you seen any draft projections? What was the highest you saw Wilson rated? Mid to late 2nd round? He also sent in his papers and obviously wasn't pleased with what he got back. Very clearly not a 1st rounder this year, and very likely won't be next year either. Heck, if Mallet falling to what? the 3rd round doesn't tell you what NFL coaches think about Arky's system qb's, I can't help you. Mallet had alot more NFL desirables both from a size standpoint and arm strength. Wilson will go 2nd or 3rd round next year. So like I said....dumb comparison. Brah.

So you're argument is Wilson is as system quarterback, everyone else sucks, so McCarron is the best in the conference?

Please do not ever call Arkansas' D an "SEC defense"
