Also he didn't have a Heisman caliber running back to keep defenses honest.

Arkansas fans thought they had the best stable of receivers in the nation. Wilson had a helluva lot of talent around him in the skill positions.

We did, probably the best corp in the nation. But we also didn't have a stud RB that kept defenses from bringing the house or dropping 8 into coverage.

Nevermind the OL who nearly got Wilson killed in at least 5 games this year.

mett>>>>>>>>>>>>>mccarron

He's so good that he left a pathetic UGA team to play in FCS to ride the bench to part the red sea to lead LSU to glory. ...again

but we'll see. I'm not impressed with him - yet.

Heck, if Mallet falling to what? the 3rd round doesn't tell you what NFL coaches think about Arky's system qb's, I can't help you.

Man, don't make me defend arky here. But Mallett fell that low due to his off field issues. He has the prototypical size of an nfl qb along with a strong arm. He had first round talent and probably would of had his chance to start if he wasn't sitting behind a future hall of famer.

Collin Klein was a stud until he met the vaunted Razorback D. Big 12 defenses

Wrong, Klein is no stud. Just a tough sob that fits ksnakes mold of grinding out close low scoring wins. He is an okay college qb but with a slow, awkard arse delivery. You faced him in a bowl game where arky had plenty of time to scout and prepare for him. Good win though.

James Franklin, on the other hand is a good dual threat qb who is only getting better. He was a sophomore this past season. He is strong, can take a hit, fairly elusive, and is perfect for our spread offense. Don't let our offense fool you, as we can and do run the ball pretty damn good. If you guys watched our bowl game, you know the young man is SEC material. I say he will be in the top 3 qbs in the SEC next year.

It's kinda cute how optimistic the Mizzou fans are about next football season.

It's kinda cute how delusional most arky fans are. Especially living in that shithole.

Sounds like a stretch at first but when you look at the qb crop in the SEC it's not far fetched.

Wilson
Franklin
Murray

I don't know if Wilson is a systems qb or not, I will leave that for you guys to hash out in the entertaining fashion you have.

The few times I did see Wilson play the past season, I was pretty impressed with his arm and decision making.

cracks me up every time I hear a Missouri fan say this. I'm from the Show Me state and there are plenty of shitholes in that state.

I will say this for Wilson. He is one tough SOB. I couldn't believe the throw he made for a TD in Tuscaloosa this year. He had Donte Hightower in full blitz mode a top speed coming right at him. Donte is 6-4 255 lbs and runs a 4.5. Wilson stood in position and threw a perfect pass to the back of the endzone where only his guy could catch it. That took major balls and major talent. Wait until your little Mizzou QB's come under that kind of pressure.

I don't think any Mizzou fan thinks we are going to take the SEC by storm. On the contrary...I think a good portion are concerned we will get mowed over, others (including me) feel we will be competitive. We understand this is a huge step for us, but we accept the challenge. We want to be in the best conference. We want to be the best, and you have to play the best to reach it. We are not delusional when I say that though.

With our snake bitten luck, we realize we may never reach the promised land, but we aren't quitters. We love the opportunity the SEC has given us, and thankful for getting out of the clusterfu#k known as the Big 12. We also realize that we will have to earn respect by the play on the field.

Hey, I know we are the new kid on the block, and has to earn respect. We accept that. Just remember typing the words above when you watch our "little" QB in action. I think those who arrogantly dismiss Mizzou are in for a rude awakening.

I was highly impressed with McCarron. However, he will need to get much better to be better than Wilson. COuld happen though
