The problem with a JFF QB is you can live or die on turnovers.

He never showed a propensity to turn over the ball. In fact, almost all of his turnovers came in two games early in the season.

The only thing I've learned from message board predictions 5 months and 100+ practices before the football season, played by 18-22 year olds, starts is that your assumptions end up being wrong over half of the time, good or bad.

wise words sir. agreed

Just based on that, i don't really make any predictions on how much we will score, but i will say i think the O will be damn good. Other then that, I am trusting Sumlin to handle his business like he always has.

I am hoping the defense will progress, but past efforts have made me weary as an A&M alum. We desperately want that wrecking crew back, but it has been a struggle to say the least.

LSU going in dry with a cactus. Won't make it to halftime

Sure you have enough players to field a team?

FWIW, Manziel looked like shite this time last year. Maybe that's just his spring form?

Nope. He definitely sucks now. I mean, look what happened the last time he was away from the field for a month +.

LSU had to "process" 4 players to get to the 85 man limit...

You might ask UF. Rumors earlier this week they may not have a spring game because they do not have enough OL's healthy.

Posting a list of guys that mostly did nothing doesn't really prove that Moore wasn't your only stud on defense. Obioha will need to play about 175 games to get 12.5 sacks at this rate.

I respect that you can wish-cast your way into a reality that does not exist. I really do.

Now, I'm going to practice grabbing my ankles--what with having no good defensive players left, it's going to be a familiar position this fall.

Won't have the wrecking crew back until 2014-2015.

However, the fact that we return almost the entire secondary intact and are infusing our holes with top tier talent tells me that we will be better than most people think.

Here's what the 2014-2015 defense will likely look like (returning starters in bold)

DE - Julien Obioha (JR)
DT - Polo Manukainu (RS-SO)
DT - Alonzo Williams (JR)
DE - Daeshon Hall (SO)
LB - Tommie Sanders (SR)
LB - Donnie Baggs (SR)
LB - Hoza Scott (FR)
CB - Deshazor Everett (SR)
CB - Devante Harris (JR)
FS - Floyd Raven (SR)
SS - Howard Matthews (SR)

Then you add offense to the mix:

QB - Johnny Manziel (RS-JR) (I'm assuming he doesn't leave after this season)
HB - Brandon Williams (RS-JR)
WR - Mike Evans (RS-JR)
WR - Malcome Kennedy (RS-SR)
WR - Sebastian Larue (SO)
WR - Ricky Seals-Jones (SO)
LT - Joseph Cheek (RS-JR)
LG - Jarvis Harrison (RS-SR)
C - Mike Matthews (JR)
RG - Germain Ifedi (RS-SO)
RT - Cedric Ogbuehi (RS-SR)

I am definitely excited. I am just a little gun shy when it comes to hoping about the defense making strides as a unit. Beers on me when the season comes around because I am already getting hyped up

No flippin' way Polo outlasts Golden or Manning after they've been in the program for a year.

Polo is a transfer guy.

JFF will be hell on wheels again this year, I for one hope he puts up the exact same numbers he did last year!
<30 yards rushing
<300 yards passing
0 TDs
3 picks
Vs LSU
Go ahead and rape the rest of the world though

No, the Bama game is the only one that matters. Good thing you catch them after the LSU game again....oh wait.

....not to mention 5 road games in the previous 6 weeks. The only home game in that 6 week stretch immediately prior to Alabama? LSU.

Schedule wise Bama can bitch all they want about having to play LSU the week prior to A&M, it doesn't hold a candle to A&M's stretch prior to the Bama game.

No scheduling excuse next season.....Bama gets a bye week to get ready for the Ags. Suspiciously, they get a bye prior to their game with LSU also. Who makes these schedules anyway?
