The biggest problem for Mizzou will be keeping the fans happy. They might lose every conference game next year, and they lost their hundred year rivalry with Kansas.
Never thought about them losing majority of the games then not having a rival to beat...

Wow
You guys should really turn on a Mizzou Football game at some point. Seriously.

The only one I really feel confident Mizzou will win is the Tennessee game. But a lot of their players are gonna get injured early in the season against Georgia and Carolina, so I'm not even sure they win that one. They will most likely beat Kentucky but I'm not gonna pencil that in yet either.
Eta: just saw they get UK at home so I will pick Mizzou in that one. So 1-7 or 2-6 is my guess.

I'm not sure why you quoted me with that sentence. I didn't say it.
I think they will lose games next year and the not having a rival to beat will be interesting for Missouri but we don't really care either way.
You are in the league to give us more money and I'm fine with that.

Don't blame me for Pinkel's employment. Y'all are bringing the heat on yourselves...

Mizzou will throttle Kentucky and Tennessee.

That's usually reserved for the Aggies but Missouri can self indulge if they like.

I'd give an early edge to Mizzou in the TN game. I'd take Vandy -3 against Mizzou and UK-1.
Florida, Uga, and SCar will beat them handily. They do likely beat aTm. So I'd not say winless, but 2-6 in their first year in.

Explain to me how Missouri is going to compete better than Kentucky with less money and same distance from southern talent?
Serious question.

Mizzou will do much better than tamu IMO. At least at first. The east is down right now, and mizzou is about as good as they've been in a while. The east will finish in this order: Georgia, south Carolina, mizzou, Florida, auburn, Vanderbilt, Tennessee.
Eta: bookmarked.

Let's tell the truth. Historically, Mizzou is far worse than anyone is making out. Since, Pinkel hired the high school spread guru to save his job five years ago, y'all have been competitive.
That's all about to come crashing down.

What about the fact that they haven't won a conference title since 1969? If they can't even win a conference title in the Big 8/Big 12 which has traditionally been a much weaker conference from top to bottom than the SEC, it's not a good sign that they'll hold their own in the SEC. At best, they're going to be another South Carolina or Ole Miss.

Are we talking about next year or in the future?
Arent they about to fire Joker anyways? I think it will be an easier sell to recruits on that alone. The money factor will even out soon enough being that we are a full member of the SEC. We need to retain our own in-state talent, try to make inroads into the Southeast, and sell ourselves to recruits in Big Ten territory that they can stay close to home and play in the SEC (All things we are currently doing). If we do that we should be fine. But yes there will be an adjustment period.

This.
Kentucky can't sell recruits with the same geography y'all have and yes the money will even out but Missouri will still sit behind many teams.
You can't out spend Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and so forth. Therefore, what is the plan? Your in-state talent pool along with Kentucky is the worst in the SEC therefore it's difficult. You are 600 miles from Dallas alone.
How is Missouri going to be any different especially while playing in the East along with Kentucky?

You truly are an ignorant and obvious troll. I can only assume you're referring to OC David Yost. He has been with the program since 2001, Pinkel's first year. He was originally a GA, then QB coach. Dave Christensen was the OC, and implemented the spread offense. He consulted with the coaching staff at Florida on their spread.
Christensen left in 2008, I believe, to be HC at Wyoming, and Yost became OC. Neither move had anything to do with Pinkel's job. His asst coaches are very loyal to him, very low turnover and no lateral movement from his staff.

So he wasn't on the hot seat 5 years ago? or during the DWI?

He is trolling.
He is one of the worst ones since I have been here. There are some really good and rational Arkansas fans here that are fun to carry on a conversation with. Just look for them outside these flaming threads.
Had some great threads and posts going with some of them leading up to NSD.
