This thread is so highjacked it's not funny.

5 - the DBs in the SEC are better than most Big 12 wide receivers and many of them are bigger and faster.

And proud of the conference you should be!! Everyone I know is pumped to join the party. Sure, we have a couple of re-re's running around here ruffling feathers with guns blazing (every school has "Special Fans"). I am one of the posters that readily admit line play and depth are a concern. If I'm not mistaken, you and I had a good discussion about this a week or two ago. Most Mizzou fans realize it will be uphill sledding in the new conference, But we are confident that we will hold our own. Using your analogy......................here's hoping you get a blowjob from a famous celebrity!

Yeah you and semotruman seem pretty cool... small sample size so far but more spaztards than informed posters repping your school thus far. <insert random meth reference to explain> But yeah... every fan base has special fans... larger groups from the more established schools on here so they get drowned out or laughed out eventually... except Arkansas. go figure.
I made a vow to never return to the state of Missouri after a couple of bad experiences including nearly dying in a car wreck in Kansas City but maybe I'll get over my superstitious fear that the state has it in for me.

roadgator: No joke...

eta: and right on cue, semo pops in as well

Just checked in, saw the thread was still going and had descended into hell...then along comes finonaccisquared and pdiddy. Whew. Thanks for saving it!

Hoping as we get closer to July 1 more Mizzou posters will join in. We have our short bus riders, but for the most part we're pretty normal! You should give the state a try again - game days in Columbia are a great time!

Back to topic....we have 3 2013 commits, but no linemen so far. That's gotta change. We have good skill players, but they won't be able to perform to potential without good line play on both sides of the ball.

I'm not sure if most of the mizzou fans are idiots or trolls. either way i really wish they'd go back to tigerboard. they can get away with their stupid shite over their since the board is pretty much unreadable.

Here's hoping you DON'T manage to pick up any O-linemen out of GA this year. State is deep with talent and want to make sure we get ours first. :nb4bamasaysdibs:
I'll probably come back at some point... I just will try to avoid interstates. I feel like if I return I might wake up the evil from "Final Destination" though...

I expect Mizzou to be about middle tier in the east this year... with most of the risk toward the downside as no one really knows how UT or UF will look this year.

This is how most Mizzou fans view the upcoming season as well.

With a small swing either direction depending on these variables.

I don't think many fans think Mizzou is going to come in a light anything up. I think that the natural reaction to the constant flaming by some Arkansas posters, since the first Mizzou fans first hit the SECr, was to fight back.

but to imply that you'll come in this season guns blazing and take the conference by storm is simply setting yourself up for failure.

Honestly, I don't hear any serious Mizzou fans saying this. Maybe a few internet studs trying to get a rise out of people but most fans I know are optimistic but realistic about our chances, especially in the short term.

Like you said, a lot will depend on UT and UF. From the games I saw last year involving those two teams they sure looked like two buckets of crap. No doubt they have talent so maybe they can turn it around. Florida probably more likely than UT.

Long term, it will all depend on the amount of resources the donors and administration want to spend on the program. No doubt being in the SEC will bring more revenues to Mizzou and I expect facilities and operating/recruiting budgets to increase accordingly. If not, then Mizzou fans will be very disappointed.

Why do you always try and fit Arkansas into your posts?

Maybe... I don't read through all the random shite on this board and its also possible that I largely tune out Arky posters that are clearly trying to rile people up. I spent one afternoon shitting on Dale but it was like fishing with dynamite and he was largely unequipped. I recall a post being started by a Zou fan about how they were going to dominate UGA in the SEC opener or something along those lines... been pretty much downhill since then.

Difficult to discern the difference at this point here. I understand when people talk shite you wanna defend but its been fairly excessive from what I've read. JMO

on the offensive side of the ball anyway. It really can't get any worse for us on offense...I don't think...I hope not.

Even still, we were only blown out in two games really and they happened to be the two best teams in the country.

Our D is going to be stout. We just need our DBs to turn and find the damn ball.

Hell even you have to admit there are some Arky posters that will find a way to irk any/every fanbase possible on here. Obviously its because everyone is :hogsessed:

Zou animal and his alts were an embarrassment. No denying that. I hope most don't view our fan base poorly because of that BS trolling.

They may be safer than some of the back roads! Nothing in Missouri is as bad as driving in Atlanta. There is plenty of cool stuff to do in Missouri.

It's been pointed out that we give up some size on the lines, especially in our 2nd string. So GA should share with their new friends!

Bad logic... I've used this regarding UGA DB's under WM, and RBs & O-line throughout Richt's tenure... just remember. It can always get worse.

I wonder how many were really him. Every time he would post, a dozen other Mizzou accounts with less than 20 posts would follow.
