It's not that they wouldn't want to do that, it's just they wouldn't want to do that at LSU if they have any business sense.

Considering the pay increase any coach we go after will get, it makes a ton of sense to come here even if in the worst case scenario they get unfairly fired in a few years and have to find another job.

If they are really a good coach they'll find another decent job after, and they'll be several million dollars richer than they would have been.

[Les Miles cant even keep a top 25 team with top 5 talent

Expectations should match reality. Miles cant match shite]

Very short and sweet and straight to the point. He needs to go, not that we don't appeciate what we had done for lsu and louisiana, but when your ship has sailed, it has sailed. Truly that was at least a year ago or more. Someone on here said well you liked his coaching while he was winning, NO he didn't coach like this when we won our championship, please look at the tapes, he was called the mad batter for a reason, and it's not for the crap he is pulling now. I just honestly think he don't have it in him to coach anymore, he lost his flair. That's fine, but don't bring your team down with you.

Good coaches don't shy away from expectations. Sorry, but this post is wrong and a little stupid.

"LSU is not a destination hire so good luck "

That statement is just wrong. I am an Alabama fan and live in Alabama, and Baton Rouge is as much a "destination" as Tuscaloosa, Auburn, or Knoxville, and a helluva lot better than Oxford and Starkville. Besides with the kind of money they pay these coaches, I could live in a Lee County trailer park and be happy, and do as good a job as most of these clowns. LSU has a right to be ticked off. I agree they may be a little emotional right now, after one game, but they entered this year with high expectations. People invest lots of money in tickets and travel and they see their team getting big time recruits and having high dollar facilities. They expect more for their money than they are getting.

I disagree with that notion. The expectations that LSU fans and most writers were about right; assuming a serviceable quarterback was in the mix. Apparently that component (and a very important one) is missing. There is no excuse for a team like LSU not being able to recruit good quarterbacks and coach them up once they get there. That's on Miles and Cameron. No other way to draw it up.

With the talent that LSU pulls in and the money the job could offer, nearly every coach in America would give them strong consideration.

To assess Les Miles future at lsu you need to look past his record. The same way uga did with richt. His record is too solid to seriously look at firing, but his inability or refusal to update that offense, or even look at hiring someone to add a spark to that side of the ball is the reason they should fire him. Look at saban for example. In 2013, we had a national championship QB, an all American receiver and a stable of running backs, and that team underperformed on offense. Saban could have easily stayed with nussmyer and it might have been good enough, but he was smart enough to foresee the writing on the wall. Offense needed a spark and a better QB coach. It is baffling that LSU has continued on this coarse. Miles is too stubborn to do what's needed to keep them in the ballpark with Alabama and for that, he needs to go.

people said the same thing about Alabama. A winner will accept the challenge and losers will stay away. Coaches watching the shite show on the bayou see the same thing we do they just know how to fix it.

Alabama had been a mediocre program for over a decade when Saban showed up.

If Miles was averaging 10.18 wins the last four years he would not be on the hot seat.

As to your assertion that high expectations will scare off top coaches, I can only agree and point out that this is what kept Saban from accepting the Alabama job.

Established coaches at top 15 programs almost never leave unless they're forced to or they have some close personal tie to another school

How in the frick are you comparing what Les Miles has done at LSU to what Shula and co did at Bama before Saban?

You are a special kind of stupid. When did I compare what Les has done at LSU to Shuka at Bama?

It's very clear you're threatened by the idea of LSU hiring a new coach. You have no problem shitting on Les Miles while at LSU but then feign outrage when LSU fans say they've had enough. Guys like you, Dale Denton, and Champagne have spent more time defending Les Miles, the same Les Miles you chastised all of season, the past few days than you have talking about your own team. It's sad, really

not mention bowl game stats, since it doesn't align with your preconceived narrative.

So last year LSU was mocked that the bowl stats didn't mean anything because Texas Tech's defense sucked. Now it's supposed to mean something because Les' seat is warm? Which one is it?
