Not reading all of this, but is it safe to assume that A&M is leading the Razorbax around by the nose ring again?

No, but they seem to be leading you around by your cock ring. They love them some Pine Bluff cock, poor boy...

I mean you can feel confident in your sources, but there was just a press release. I mean. I don't know what to tell you other than that you're completely wrong.

Why can't you guys just tailgate?

Its ok to be a feared...we in know can plainly see that A&M is the next great SEC Sleeping Giant. Rumor has it they are going to win the Conference one day.

b/c Jerry World is in the middle up suburban bumblefrick and is a huge pain in the arse to get out of once the game is over.

There were already 7 games contractually obligated. It is essentially a 3 year extension. Most Aggies have built up this mythical idea that we could magically cancel it. I honestly think the AD just realized it was smart for all parties, not a concession in any sense.
@TeLeFaWx
perhaps the extension was part of what we had to give up to get home and home for the '12 and '13. What would be nice is if we could somehow turn this into a double header where we both play a different team from a power conference ever year.

A light rail system would not be in Jerry Jones' best interest. His desire to sell parking is greater than his desire to offer fans a better experience.
Also, I've been to 2 games there. The sound system is pathetically bad. The big TV is kinda cool. Quality is unmatched.
@Big12fan
Yea, I know the DART would put a crimp in his parking sales. Doesn't matter anyway. Arlington is still paying for Jerry World and won't be doing any tax hikes for public transportation any time soon.
at this point the only way I think they ever stick a line out there is if DFW wins an Olympic bid.

We had a lot of press releases and statements in 2010 about how we were going to be playing in the Big 12 for a long time as well.
Chess not checkers.

Just do what we do, bring the trailer house down to Dallas and get cozy and stay a minute.

Well if the admin sees the value in the game unlike someone stupid like you(someone that believes playing North Texas is the same thing) then we did a good job. We got everything we wanted.

I do tailgate but the problem is getting out there in the morning and getting back to Dallas Saturday night after tailgating and drinking heavily. If I go up there for the weekend I want to be able to enjoy tailgating and go out to the bars Friday and Saturday night as well. The location of the stadium and how hard it is to get to is my only real complaint.
I mean fricking Houston put a light rail line between Reliant and downtown and midtown and this might be the worst city for public transit in the country.
I'm fine with the game being in Jerryworld though, especially if it means we get LSU Thanksgiving weekend. I was opposed to it before but the idea is growing on me now.

Can't you just get a hotel in Arlington or mid-cities? There's really no reason to bother with Dallas if you don't have to, IMO.

I did that once, but I have friends from school who live in the area that I don't see a ton so I tried to use that weekend to go out with them in Dallas or Fort Worth also, and it's a pain trying to get from there back to Arlington area after the bars. As I get older I imagine I'll just get a hotel near Arlington and not care about going out in Dallas at night

Your friends should come to you. The reason for the trip is to go to the freakin' game. Who cares if you can't easily access the ancillary stuff? JMHO.

eff that noise. I live in Dallas.
I go to the games but its a huge hassle and it really shouldn't have to be. I don't even really like to go to Cowboys games out there to be honest.
If this game was at the Cotton Bowl I wouldn't have nearly as big an issue with it b/c I can just use the DART to get out there and then go wherever in town to have fun.
I think its just that when you add up all the costs due to it being at JerryWorld on top of the shitty location and crappy stadium atmosphere, it gets obnoxious.
Its actually about equal cost for me to get two 50 yard line seats, drive down to College Station, get a hotel room for two nights, eat out 2 or 3 times, and gas up than it is to drive 30-40 minutes out to JerryWorld, pay for parking, eat food and drink at the stadium, and purchase two 35-40 yard line tickets.

We tailgate. We just let the least drunk one take us home or make someone stop drinking at halftime.

As someone else mentioned, this helps A&M get the LSU game on Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving weekend on a long term basis.
I do not like Jerryworld for college games, but I am willing to have the game there every year if that means that both LSU and A&M get to play their longtime rivals on rivalry weekend.

"We are excited to have reached a new agreement to return our series with Texas A&M to Cowboys Stadium. The addition of Texas A&M into the SEC will only increase the excitement surrounding the Southwest Classic played in the world’s most spectacular stadium. In the past three years, the University of Arkansas has seen the benefit of an annual appearance in the Metroplex with increased enrollment from the area and in student-athlete recruiting in all sports. We appreciate the efforts of the Jones Family and the Dallas Cowboys for working with both institutions to maintain what has quickly become one of college football’s premiere games.” - AD Jeff Long
