What if Alabama wins, both Bama and LSU run the table, and the Cajun Tigers don't get in the CFP?
Is there a server big enough to avoid exploding or able to survive the meltdown of all meltdowns?

So you're saying there's a chance?

Personally I would think they should get in, but it will be interesting to watch should this happen.
In one sentence, you both hedged your opinion and pulled an "inb4 LSU hedges their opinion." Well done. It's the hypothetical equivalent to making an argument, demanding people counter, but first dismissing all potential counter arguments.
It's unlikely a member of a conference they don't win gets in, although it's been stared that winning the conference isn't required. The situations are completely different. And yet, Bama fans are forever cornered into defending the possibility for life. It may not always be a good thing for you, and at that point, it will be interesting to see the reactions.

This
But a typical narcissistic Bama fan won't be able to see the difference.

a lot more would have to happen. There would need to be only be 1-2 undefeated or 1-loss conference champ besides Bama

The senecio isn't the same. 2015 is a playoff format
This! Not even close to the same thing. We are talking 4 teams now. Under the same format of how it use to be we would not get in, unlike Bama did in 11'!

It IS basically the same. That's the issue that you guys had in 2011; none of you wanted to admit how the BCS teams were picked. Instead, you wanted your own opinion to be the criteria. The BCS picked the two best teams to compete. It's that simple. Now, the playoff picks the four best. Not that different, except there's two more teams.

No way a team that didn't even win the division makes it.
Posted on 10/30/15 at 8:55 am to Teague
That's bullshite. Voters had to purposely drop Oklahoma State down to fifth and sixth place in their ballots to make that happen. If the BCS system was used as intended and not manipulated then Bama wouldn't have made it.

Moot hypothetical because, in fact: LSU beats the red team.
Posted on 10/30/15 at 9:03 am to antibarner
It was the right two teams in 2011. Anyone with one working eye could see that. Those were the two best teams period.
If a similar situation were to occur with the playoff system, we'd probably see two from the Little 12 out of the three currently unbeaten before we'd see two from the SEC. And if those two are two of the four best teams, then it would be the right decision.

No, it's not.

It is undeniably different. Bama would have deserved to be in a 4 team playoff in '11. No question.

Bama deserved to be there in 2011 as well. You want some info on how I know that? Because they were there, and because they won handily.

And that's all fine and dandy. But it is not even remotely the same as the scenario in the OP. I mean, I can't believe we are even debating this. They are inherently different in so many ways.

Absolutely not. I hated the idea of a Michigan OSU rematch, I hated the bama/lsu rematch, and I hate the idea of any rematch

There is a very real chance a lot of them on here that screamed against the rematch are going to find themselves looking at the same scenario from the other end.
I would be one of them. Not because I believe in mulligans, but because I want to screw Bama and have y'all see what it's like to have a beat a top team twice to win the NC while they only have to beat you once.

Alabama beats LSU in a tight game next week and goes on to play in and win the SEC Championship game,Bama gets in because LSU takes out Ole Miss. The Tigahs run the table the rest of the way. LSU would have a one or two point loss on the road to the SEC Champions and sitting at 11-1. What happens to them?
Obviously LSU would get in with this scenario as LSU would have the best loss. Isn't that how this works?

You can be a smartass all you want, but you know damn well if the situation were reversed one of your upstanding fans would drive to BR and poison Mike because of the "injustice".
At least we're somewhat civilized
