Were we guilty? Sure. But we didn't break all kinds of laws and NCAA rules going about proving it. Logan Young was no more guilty of a crime than any of the rest of you. And I personally know for a fact that Diane Sanford was a UT booster. When that got swept under the rug I knew for sure the fix was in.

Roy Adams, one of your own, went on Finebaum's show and picked this scab, not any of us. He asked us for forgiveness. WE didn't bring it up so you Viles can shove that.

I didn't even speak ill of the man. But if he is asking for forgiveness he needs to tell all.

I would agree. I stayed true to my school, but those were embarrassing times to be an Alabama fan. Our fan base deflected in the most pitiful of ways. Everything was always Fulmer's fault and every crimson shirt you saw had something written on it incorporating "12" or "Bear."

It wasn't so much whether we were guilty or not, it was the obvious conspiracy going on to make damn sure we went down. Were we guilty? Sure. But two wrongs do not make a right.

That's your problem, you watch Finebaum. Whatever one senile old frick says on another old frick's show is irrelevant. It's pitiful that you don't see that.

Actually I did NOT see it, I read news accounts of it.I don't bother watching Finebaum.
So much for your point. But to say he does not know where the bodies are buried here is absurd.

Most people on this board, including Tennessee fans, are likely too young to remember this. Hell, I was still in high school.

If you're going to start a thread on it I think you owe the rest of us the diligence to either provide the context or link to someplace that does.

Cliffs:

- Boosters were in a bidding war for players. One namely being Albert Means.

- Roy Adams, a Tennessee booster who loved message boards, lost to Logan Young in a bidding war for Albert Means.

- Roy Adams decided to tattle-tale on Alabama to the NCAA. He included his tattle-tales online, so everyone knew exactly where the NCAA was getting the dirt on Alabama. Phil Fulmer helped.

- NCAA arse blasts Alabama for their transgressions against the Holy Rulebook.

- Alabama fans decide that because Roy Adams told on them and that because the NCAA didn't find out on their own, that they didn't really do anything wrong. (Gump Logic 101)

- Roy Adams continued to talk shite online about scandals in the SEC bidding wars. No one really gave a shite. In 2009(ish), he began talking like he had real dirt on Alabama again and some people's ears perked up. Nothing came of it.

- Roy Adams disappears for a few years because who gives a shite about a rich old man with nothing but conjecture?

- Roy Adams goes on Finebaum to regain whatever spotlight he had in the past.

Pretty much sums it up. You forgot to mention that Tennstud showed up to testify in court wearing an orange blazer and coonskin hat

So did Steve Spurrier, Houston Nutt and David Cutcliffe (while he was at Ole Miss)...but nobody ever mentions that.

That's the problem, right there. He broke Rule #1 of Fight Club.

There is a pretty massive difference between reporting something to the NCAA, and actively assisting in the NCAA's investigation so that they'll turn a blind eye to your program.
