When state throws 9 passes and completes four of them that shouldnt really tickle the best receiver in the state.... Snoop Brassels recruitment is far from over IMO.... It makes sense for state to gain recruiting momentum as theyve played well this yr. Snoop was looking out for his boy and now hes got two more offers than he had. I expect snoops recruitment to be opened up completely.... Im saying this not to suggest that he ll end up at OM either.
State fans have every right to be thrilled at this point but to think its a done deal is naive and lacks any college recruiting logic whatsoever. For now, nice commit state and nice win saturday....

A lot of high school recruits from poor areas look to their HS coaches as father figures, mentors, etc. That influence plays a huge role in their thought processes.
I don't know how much Pogue influences Brassell. Brassell has been a fixture at OM practices/camps for years now, the whole commitment to MSU was literally out of left-field.
We'll see how it plays out, I still think he winds up at OM, but not as confident now.

He'll have Farve, Dak, or Russell throwing to him in a couple of years so I don't see how Relf and the lack of throwing is relavent.

He was getting his buddy a scholarship. It worked. Ole Miss offered him. Did he do it the right way? Hell no. But it's part of the game I guess. Same way Joe McKnight did us back several years ago.
I'm sure Mullen will use this situation to fuel the fire for the Egg Bowl now. It will be an intense game for both schools. Can't wait.

Not sure if you Bears know this but, CJ Johnson, Jermaine Whitehead, Nick Brassell, Joe Morros, and Tobias Singleton are all really good friends who WANT to play together in College. Jermaine and CJ have been recruiting the heck out of Tobias and Snoop lately, and its just starting to pay off.
Both State and Ole Miss will have top 20 recruiting classes FWIW
Maybe they want to follow Tobias...of the names listed who is still committed to Msuxs and Dan"the closer" Mullett
