thing is, rosebowl's report has now been backed up by rivals, and one of the ESPN insiders.
There's really nothing much of substance in what the SP coach says, shite it sounds like he doesn't even know what's going on. i've played with numerous D1 athletes and our coach or coaches have less to do with the recruiting process than you would think.

But not by the USP coach. Have the players said anything official?

The coach wants to hep' them to OM. When you read the quotes from him, do you see anything of substance there?

Supposedly Ole Miss decided to offer Market last Thursday but were going to wait until they call all the big time recruits on Mondays. State got wind and offered Market last night. Supposedly Lance Pouge (South Panola's coach) is pissed that Mullen and staff went behind his back and offered Market.
Don't know if this is true just what I have heard.

Not particularly. I'm not seeing much substance from anything I've read up to this point

Coaches don't have jack shite to do with a player's recruitment process. He can get fricked.

except for the words out of Brassell's mouth saying he committed...

I wouldn't go that far...

So mark it down? He will absolutely be a Dawg come NSD? I'm just not seeing it, but who knows?

They shouldn't...that's a decision up to the player and his family. There are a few entitled assholes out there like Pogue, but for the most part coaches won't have much to do with a player's decision.

I'm not saying that but for now he is verbally a State commit. I think Singleton is solid, however.

What about OB's coach? He does it all the time.
I see what you think Brassell's decision will be in the end...

at least the ones that care about their players and let them do what's best for them, like go to mississippi state and be a winner.

Oh yes they do. When Rodney Coe visited here his coach came with him. Coaches have alot to do with it.

Not true at all. They have tons of influence, sadly.
Some coaches plant long-term seeds of favoritism, which directly effects who recruits feel about certain school (see Olive Branch and Ole Miss).

It's shitty on either side.
He's smart enough to avoid the sinking ship.
