IMO, YES. Brassell is the 45th overall ranked player in America, and could eventually become a 5* on Rivals and Scout. It is also HUGE b/c we were able to get our foot in the door at South Panola who always produces tons of D1 talent.
We also got a commitment from South Panola safety Kendrick Market who is a great athlete as well.

Maybe not according to HS rankings. Now my memory isn't top notch but wasn't DP ranked higher overall than Brasell? I know Bama wanted both guys very bad. Good one Dawgs........

Now that you say that, I think your right and I stand corrected. Brassell is #45 overall and Pegues was #35. However, Brassell can still move up in the rankings.

He sure can and likely will move up. Also a different year where depending on how strong the WR class is this year this ranking could be more impressive than the Pegues one. Regardless, Brassell may be more important of a haul at this point than Derek was a couple years back. Who knows? The last thing we need now is for you guys to pick up a QB like the kid for Michigan etc........I doubted Mullen but wrong again on my side.

We have a solid QB commit for this year's class out of Louisiana, but next year we are really eyeing a young man who is VERY similar to Denard Robinson. The only problem is, that he is a top notch baseball prospect as well and may choose baseball over football.

Ive got a good feeling that Tobias Singleton may be next. Its gonna be scary to see Bumphis, Brassell, and Singleton as our starting WRs. Tyler Russell will be slinging it to them

BIG TIME SHOCK. I didnt believe it when I got a call from a buddy of mine around 10PM. I still didnt believe it until Scout had the article with Brassell's quotes in it.
FWIW Rosebowl Robertson is saying that Singleton is our Mystery commit and will announce at the Army All American game.

Just found out that Mississippi State is also trying to get South Panola RB Qyen Griffin. Word is that he has no chance of qualifying, but If we can place and follow him it would be HUGE. He is by far the best RB in the state of Mississippi.

Yeah I still think Brassel ends up at Ole Miss. Singleton probably goes to Starkvegas.
