So far the only confirmation is on Thompson. Basillio had expected him to transfer for a while. The others I can't find anything confirming it.

Much worse roster than what? Cuonzo was not winning shite with this roster. Hell, he barely made the tournament with all these guys+Stokes, McRae and Maymon.

Guys leaving for the NBA? Freshman requesting transfers? This all sounds oddly familiar.

Guy on the VU rivals board posted that he had heard in Murfressboro over the weekend that the Thompson news was coming and that he had heard Hubbs would request a release as well. Supposedly Hubbs, Thompson and Davis were all very close as a freshman class would not be surprising if true.

I would much rather start completely over than watch Cuonzo win 16 or 17 games next year and then get fired.

Hubbs father is on record as saying that they won't be going anywhere and will remain at UT.

This is not some devastating blow to the program. We have lost seven 3*s and one 5*. If Tyndall can recruit at a high level the roster should be much improved by 2016.

Not to this extent. Not anywhere close.

Tyndall will be lucky to win 10 games with the roster he's putting together.

They will be horrible. Like 1 or 2 SEC wins bad. No way Tyndall can press with 6 people next year counting walk on's.

Considering that "Mississippi State bad" is far worse than "TAMU bad," yes.

That's fine with me. As I said, we weren't going to accomplish anything next year anyway. Iirc you predicted Tennessee to finish bottom 4 in the league when Stokes announced he was leaving.

It was going to be ugly either way. Now that is completely torn down it can start to be built back up. The same thing was going to happen next year when Cuonzo was fired.

Did not happen with Martin. He lost Hopson and Harris to the draft and Chris Jones and Kevin Ware from the signing class. Every other player returned iirc.

Happened to Pearl though. Pearl lost three players to transfer, Tyler Smith and Matthew Dotson from the signing class and lost Jamont Gordon's commitment. That is a lot of attrition.

Signed a very good first class though which will be very important for DT as well.
