Didn't Clemson lose most of their secondary and 2 LBs? I know there DL is awesome but they were scored on at will against every good offense they faced last year.

Check Clemson's defense vs LSU's against Louisville. And Bama. Both lost a ton but c'mon. Florida and Bama will be legit as usual. Washington? GTFO.

Would you rather have a dynamic front 7 and a mediocre secondary or a mediocre front 7 and a dynamic secondary?
We are moving from the latter to the former, thanks to the recruiting of Mssrs. Collins and Shannon.

I don't see how UF will be a top 5 defense in all of CFB...
They should still be solid, but Top 5 seems like a stretch to me with so many young guys playing in the back end.
Also consider that the three starters at LB are all sophomores and the primary backups are RS FR and a walk on.
That doesn't sound like a top 5 defense to me, no matter how good the DL is.
