Look, we got your DC and you got our DC. Player swaps is the next logical step and will happen. So lets just go ahead, start with those four and move forward from there. It is better that you just accept it.

Guess this means Sabans not going anywhere. With Kirby coaching through the playoffs can't see an outgoing head coach hiring another coordinator. Roll tide!

Not a problem for me. He's been here before and knows the lay of the land. Knows the recruiting area and it has expanded now that he has had the chance to recruit north Florida and Georgia and get familiar with the high school coaches.

great hire. Throw in he attended and played a little for Alabama and was a HS assistant in Alabama and this would be home run.

Best DC we've had since Van Gorder and probably would have surpassed him if he'd stayed. The guy is a great recruiter and a pretty good coach. Wish we had been able to keep him but I don't think he'll be at Bama for more than a year or two before he has a HC opportunity.

Look man if you aint into the swinging lifestyle then don't judge others

If so, I'll admit that I never thought it would happen.

Could be. Florida State,Georgia,Alabama DCs in 4 years is going to look pretty sweet on a resume. HS coaches will love having their boys talk to a guy who was with Hoover's program, too.

Easy to negative recruit against him though; dude can't stay in one place and will be headed for a HC position very soon. If he's at Bama for more than 2 years I'll be shocked

Probably puts them in the lead for Nigel Warrior, now.

That dude would be a train wreck as a HC.

the defense wasn't great but if they don't go away from Henry Alabama wins that game with relative ease. OSU had no answer for it.
You may not realize this, but sometimes an offensive play is run, and works, because of what a defense is doing. People who just yell, "Run the baw! It's working!" usually don't understand the concept of "take what the defense gives you". You run the ball when it makes sense and that's successful. If you run the ball just because you think that's best, you're going to be running against alignments designed to stop the run a lot of the time, and those runs will be failures. Then everyone yells, "Why ain't we throwin' the baw!?"

They're just going to keep trading coaches until they both can meet each other in Atlanta on a yearly basis

Well you runt he ball until they stop it. OSU never stopped it bama just stopped doing it and how was that passing game working for them?

The loss was more on the defense and Sims than it was Lane.

No, you run the ball when the defense isn't lined up to stop it.

How much do you make as a coach? If you are at a public university just name the school and we can figure it out on our on. Thanks.

quote:True, but sometimes you can enforce your will unto the defense. 2012 SECCG is the perfect example. Both teams pounded the rock at each other and it opened up the pass. I still remember Big Fluke going nuts on that drive in the 3rd. I saw him at Horny's later that night and he said he told the coaches that he would walk off the field if they kept passing it.
